Thanks Geno! Looks about even, but looks like one should have to earn some respect amongst affiliates to run in-house.

    Earning respect is one thing.

Re-gaining lost respect is quite another.

When SL first moved from Shareasale to Linkshare, when affiliates inquired about whether or how long the Shareasale links would remain active, their emails did not even get answered.

If a company does not even have the decency to take the time to answer inquiries from affiliates, how can they expect affiliates to take the time to promote them, let alone respect them.

    David,

Thanks for the reply and I have to say I agree with you. The SpinLife program was on auto drive and thats why I am here. I want to regain the respect of the best affiliates out there and I know it will take some time. I can't exactly say how affiliate communication was handled before I was here, but I'll take your word that it probably wasn't the best. I going to try my hardest to turn things around and that is why I am asking questions before taking any steps toward full blown promotion. Hopefully one day we can work together.

Thanks again and keep the feedback coming!

And an in-house is a company that doesn't use a source like CJ.com or Linkshare--- and they have their own affiliate program that THEY handle themselves? I have only ran across one company so far that I signed up with like this; they let me sign up and they sent me my own personal reference number to be used as a coupon code when shopping; is this what in house is?

Yes, in-house means the merchant manages their own affiliate program. You can see a list of other merchants that manage in-house...
