    Off Site Data Back Up
I want to share what I think is a good deal and there are no affiliate relations involved. A couple of years ago I got tired of backing up my PC to disks. I know a second hard drive is good, but what if the house burns or Katrina?

Enter Data Deposit Box . I just got my bill, and it cost me $2.00 for an average storage of 807.60 MB this month. It does all the back as you go through the day. If I am working on a site I can go back and get the last 3 variations of a file. They used to have a free trial, but I don't know about now.

I wish they had an affiliate set up. I would love to promote them.

I took my PC apart the other day and put it back together - turned it on and a big frazzzzle sound. Everything (including the HD) survived, but now I'm going to back everything up regularly, ideally offsite as you suggested.

You may also want to check out Amazon S3. Several services offer S3 as a backend to your backups.

YES, they still have a free trial. See the button at the top right of the home page.

Hey, thanks Bumpaw for the tip. I've been thinking about looking into an offsite backup service again. ~Bob
