Brian's off until Jan 2nd, and the rest of SAS will be running at less-than-full staff this week, according to his thread here:

Just thought I'd mention that so no-one reads anything into a lack of response from SAS this week.

I think Webworker's post is more of a heads up. SAH isn't an affiliate through Shareasale, they are a Commission Junction affiliate of Baby Wise. Shareasale has no control over that. The only thing that they can check on is whether Baby Wise is listed as a Shareasale exclusive merchant. Although Shareasale is parasite-free, there are merchants with them that have programs at other networks that do indeed allow parasites. Which is why they added the Shareasale Exclusive designation, so affiliates could see that and make decisions accordingly. Some exclusive merchants haven't applied for the designation, and a lot of merchants that are on other networks also are still parasite-free... so that isn't the only way to find them. So as an affiliate working with merchants in any network, you still need to do some checking on your own.

    Exactly, thank you, Foxy Loxly!

Now that I've looked further, I can see that I put a wrong title on this thread when starting it, because now I see that they're not the only ones, after looking around a bit more - and not only in this particular space, there are others as well.

For example, 2blockheads targets the same market sector and is now listed at Shop at Home, which I take to be a desperation maneuver, since their affiliate program has been inadequately and poorly managed since when they first started it over at CJ. Too bad they didn't call in a good OPM instead of going this route, down the garden path to questionable integrity.

Again: there are more to dig out, this thread should have been entitled "SAS Merchants Who Wear Brown Shorts."

This stuff is getting almost impossible anymore. The more I'm learning about the parasites is you can't go by what was thought of as the clean networks cos I'm finding more and more of em that are in the clean networks but also in the networks that aren't clean. and that doesn't even go to the possibility that they may also be in any individual program that has the parasites in em, too. The only way you can tell for sure evidently is if a merchant is in SAS and is an exclusive merchant to SAS....correct Loxly or guess anybody who wants to answer it. Would SAS necessarily have to know if they had their own individual program?
OK, I do remember somebody saying you can tell the exclusive merchant in SAS from something near their name that looked like somehting lol but can't remember what that was or where it showed it. When looking for a merchant or applying is there somewhere to look for that little symbol??

Shareasale exclusive means no in house and not on any other networks.

Login to your account and click on merchant details for any merchant, here is an example:
    http://www.shareasale.com/a-viewmerc...rchantID=10782

Under the logo and creatives details is a very big banner, bright blue and yellow, that says Shareasale Exclusive Merchant.

(not sure if that will show up!)

So not a tiny icon at all, but a proud, big announcement. Not hard to miss.

Thank you Loxly Yeap...you're definitely right....even with my eyeballs....can't miss that. lol Can't remember or figure out where it would be but still think somebody said there was something somewhere else that showed something saying the same thing....it definitely wasn't big like that, though. Was only little. Maybe it was a while ago before the biggie one. Thank you very much for letting me know, now I'll know where to look for it.

Yes, this was posted as a heads-up, and I found a few. I sure wish all the SAS exclusive merhants would make the effort to get the designation, it would better for us and for them.
