Now that you mention it I remember a very good friend from high school & then college celebrated 3 Kings Day. It was her favorite day of the Christmas season. A great reminder Mike.

Do you or your family make that ring bread? I'm not sure what it's called but I liked it. I'd love a good recipe.

We've never made it in our house, it's not a tradition we followed. Growing up we had it a several times when we were young. Mellie gave me an idea to pursue it this year. I need to pass this onto my kids.

For a recipe just search for
    Rosca de Reyes or
    Rocon de Reyes

Where/When did you have it Mellie?

Sorry I haven't replied sooner Jolly, taking some partial days off. A good friend from high school & college celebrated 3 Kings Day. While in college there were a couple of years when her work schedule didn't permit her to be home with her family so she celebrated it with friends. The bread stands out in my mind as do the gifts she gave to the children in the house next door. Marisol passed away from cancer a couple of years ago so this is bringing back nice memories. I've lost touch with her husband & other family so thanks for the proper name for the bread. I am going to search for it now.
