    My Boss Got Engaged =0)!!!!!!!!!!!!!
here is the email she just sent me =0)

Ha ha! OK, the details . . . After spending a perfect storybook Christmas with the family in picturesque Strasbourg, we returned to Paris on the 27th. On the 28th, our first full day in the city, Jean took me to lunch at Market, Jean Georges's Paris restaurant. Afterward, we took the metro to an area near the Louvre, and before going in, we walked around, ending up on le Pont des Arts (bridge of the arts) in front of the Louvre. That is where Jean proposed, on a bench on the Pont des Arts overlooking the Seine :-) After that, we walked around the Louvre for a bit, and then headed home for a champagne toast with the parents. Jean had made a reservation at one of the Hotels Costes, the Coste K, where we stayed for the night after dinner at one of the best restaurants in Paris, La Maison Blanche.

Special note for Sex and the City fans: the bridge where Jean proposed is the same bridge where, in the final episode, Mr. Big told Carrie she was the one. After dinner, we had drinks at the Plaza Athenee, where Carrie was staying with the Russian before Big came to whisk her away ;-)

Oh, I almost forgot, the ring is perfect too! Just what I wanted - a Radiant cut diamond set in platinum.

I wish you guys a very happy new year and will see you soon!

Her fiance Jean is suchh an awesome guy!!!!!!!!!

    Congrats to your boss!
    She has great taste.
Do you know the chef "Jean-Georges Vongerichten" is Alsacian? So, they came back from Strasbourg, a pretty town, to try his cuisine in Paris.
Try Jean-Georges restaurant in Vegas during the Summit, "The Prime SteakHouse" in the Bellagio Hotel, outstanding.
I like also "La Maison Blanche" in Paris, the White House.
Great cuisine and so romantic: http://www.maison-blanche.fr/ listen to the music

Heart of smoked salmon fillet, in a bitter-sweet of green apples
    Truffled corn gazpacho

Duck foie gras cooked in a cloth and stuffed with cpe-mushrooms
quince and vanilla jam, crispy mixed salad

Sea scallop served in its shell with baby vegetables, pearl of caviar and fennel emulsion

Piece of sea bass cooked slowly in the oven
celery and Swiss chard cannelloni with pine nuts, seashell sauce

Fillet of roasted capon studded with truffles, chestnut mash
thin biscuit of crushed wheat and pistachio, truffled sauce

Iced soup of tropical fruit and coconut milk, fluffy mint sorbet

Chocolate moelleux, pumpkin cream and almond nougatine

Oh Zeus! Thanks for sharing that menu! Wow!!! It's a bit rich for my taste (I'm more inclined toward rusticana style cooking.) but j'adore sea bass and gazpacho and fennel makes me a bit weak in the knees. (Fennel is one of my "secret ingredients.") I'm amused by the name Amuse Bouche (tickles the lips?) and I have no clue what a moelleux is so I have some new terms to look up. Should keep me busy for a bit!

Liquidate, congrats to your boss and her fiance who had the most romantic proposal I've ever heard. Paris, moonlight, romance...wow!
