Those of us who've been around long enough have had the rather pleasant experience of finding a check in the mail for say $58 which was unexpected. We find that it comes from some long forgotten merchant whom we wrote off and haven't paid attention to recently.

This morning I was sitting with my laptop in my skivies when the Fed Ex guy knocked on my door. I signed for the envelope, and from the exterior couldn't figure out if I knew who it was from.

Inside was a check for $1,648.42 from a merchant for whom I had put up some pages well over a year ago. Since nothing seemed to work out very well, sure, the occasional check for $40 or $50, I'd forgotten about it.

I really should pay closer attntion. Now I have another merchant to obsess about.

The perfect job: Get up, log on while still in skivies, drink coffee, sign for checks!

Congratulations and thanks for sharing that.
This one goes in my motivation file!

And you get to keep your check! I have a merchant that has over-paid me twice in the last two months. This time by $650.00. I wouldn't mind so much if it didn't show the sloppy bookkeeping going on. And the idea that I could get shorted next month.

I'm hoping it works the other way as well. I've had some merchants that have never paid me for the sales I've generated, maybe they'll surprise me with finally stepping up to the plate in the future. Congrats.

With that kind of luck you should buy a hundred dollars in lottery tickets with this forgotten windfall.
