Been talked about here and in Joomla forums. No one has stepped to the plate...

I still think there is a viable market for a commercial component in this area...

Oh... if you can hack a bit, you can have a look at the Bookmarks component. It's a little manual, but it can be done.

Interesting. I'm working on a Joomla site right now. I was thinking of using Joomla for the content and then linking to a static page that would be the "store". From there I would use something like webmerge.

    Any other ideas or alternatives?

There's a component that imports static content (webmerge pages) into Joomla content, but as I recall that standard site search doesn't work for those for some reason.

    Component is called StaticX.

Fabrik will let you search and display MySQL database content within Joomla. (It used to be called MOSForms). The site is www.fabrikar.com . I used it on SeniorCenters.com to display a database of Nursing Homes and one of Adult DayCare. I don't know if it can be adapted for commercial datafeeds. The software is free, but the documentation costs $40 a year.

Interesting... I'll have to look into it. I must've misunderstood the premise behind mosForms, because that one's been out a while...
