Brian! Help! Commission check void after 90 days
    Brian,

I have a SAS check dated 5/20/2006. Found it at the bottom of my stuff, not banked in yet. It is more than 90 days already. Is it possible to cancel that one and put it in with my next payment?

I emailed you the details a few days back. Did you get my email?

    regards
    Janice

Unfortunately, I have some that have been "lost" and are no doubt past cashability.

I believe Brian's been away, and bet he's snowed under trying to catch up if he's back.

Don't sweat it. If you emailed the info they will take care of it, and pretty quickly. I have had sundry problems with expired or misdirected checks and SAS got new ones out right away.

I'm not positive on this, but I believe only personal checks are void after 90 days. You might have much longer on a commercial check. If you happen by your bank, you might want to pop in and ask them...

Unless dated elsewise, my sister, an ex bank teller says checks are good for a full year...

My wife recently found an AdSense check from December of 2004(!) that I had been using as a bookmark and forgot about. She was unamused. Luckily for me, Google cut me a new check without much ado.

There's a reason army's wear uniforms even though it makes them easier to spot. Sometimes that's what you want. Uniforms suggest organization, power, and numbers. These, in turn, inspire fear. And, as any good operative knows, there is no more effective weapon than fear.

Some checks say how long they're good for and some don't but my bank won't accept any checks over 6 months old, either personal or business checks.
