    Pleasant surprises.
So I haven't been concentrating on AM recently, focusing on finishing my education.

School's been out for a bit and I built a sitemap.

A week later and Google/Yahoo are trying to send me traffic.

I went from a handful of keywords driving traffic to a barrelful. Traffic overall has increased by 75%.

But the most important part: I'm making money at this again. I had a couple of very lean months recently.

Woo hoo! That reminds me, I've gotta update my sitemaps!

Let me do a happy dance for you, weisinator. That's a great start to the New Year for you (and inspiration for me, which I seriously need).

One change: I recently sent it an inbound link from a site hosted on my ISPs hosting space. That's been up since 2000 and generates a few hits. I've given up on that old site as a source of traffic and revenue. But it's not hurting anything by leaving it there.

    Stagnation is.

But the sitemap script is one thing crossed off the to-do list. 499 to go.

LOL, no. I'm seeking an associates in computer tech, with a focus on web applications development at the community college.

I'm going to fill out my technical electives with the classes that the programmers have to take. That means an extra Java, VB and C++. If anything, I'll get more experience typing up braces and semicolons from two of those classes.

I also plan on pursuing Sun Certification for Web Components and Web Services, I rather enjoyed my first two Java classes. I'll be taking the entry level "Java Associate" exam in March, when I finish the "Advanced Java" class that I start Monday.

I want to work in AM, but my wife is comfortable with me bringing home a steady paycheck. I figure working for a merchant in some affiliate service capacity is a win-win situation. I figure the pieces of paper will help out in that regard.
