I am trying to review this merchants site to check out their web hosting but I have not been able to get the site to open for at least a week now. However, they report that the site is not down.

Can you try it and see if it works for you. Thanks.

Opens for me too, although the layout doesn't fit on my 800x600

I had a problem that was similar to this a couple of months ago.
I kept contacting a couple of sites I went to a lot to let them know that they were down, and they kept telling me I was nuts.
The thing was after about a week of this, I stopped getting the Internet Explorer Error page and started getting directed to this private "Error Page". It was similar to the IE one but had a search engine and a whole lot of advertising on it. Soon after most of the URLs I tried to go to had me end up on this same page.
I did some looking and it turns out that there was a program that had installed itself on my system. It was redirecting at random to its site. It also started to slow down the computer. To remove it you had to go download a specific removal program I had tried to remove it with the remove programs feature of windows once I found it to no avail. It was buried deep in the registry.
It worked sort of like the gator stuff methinks.

I'm sorry, I don't remember what this was called. It was a three letter name I think.
I don't know if thats what you have but I thought I'd send that out.
