AOL To Buy TradeDoubler for $900 Million
    http://www.marketwatch.com/news/stor...175EC50722E%7D

Decided to post this in Midnight Cafe instead of UK forum, because I felt this is very important/significant news.

AOL said it plans to merge its third-party advertising network, Advertising.com, with TradeDoubler. Advertising.com buys advertising from publishers, and then uses its technology to sell that advertising onto individual companies
Have no idea how that's going to work.

I'm not warm and fuzzy over this news.

I'm not either. As an affiliate I never had major problems with Trade Doubler.
I don't see what AOL can bring them. I hate the corporate bs of these major cies. They didn't have to follow the poor leadership of CJ and LinkShare. Bigger don't mean better.

AOL's TradeDoubler bid rejected by Alecta
US Internet giant AOL has bid for Sweden-based online advertising company TradeDoubler, in a cash offer worth 6.332 billion kronor. But Alecta, the Swedish company's largest shareholder, has dismissed the bid as too low.

    Thumbs down
has dismissed the bid as too low.
That's becasue they don't want to say they are Millionaires but Billionnaires, once they go over the 900 million mark.

100 million dollars more, is there a difference? lol
