Betty Mills DySE search box broken
I realized that the search box was broken on my site. In IE 6 or 7 I get a 404 error returned and in Firefox I get:

    Not Found
The requested URL /shop/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi was not found on this server.
    Apache/1.3.34 Server at www.bettymills.com Port 80

Which is in essence a 404 error also, it just does not say 404.

I thought it was something with my site www.wholesaletopia.com but it isn't.

I went to another DySE based store: www.CustodianStore.com and tried it from there too and the same thing happened.

Anyone know why the search feature from the DySE script suddenly stopped working?

The search form goes to a URL at the BettyMills.com website (DySE does not perform the search). BettyMills.com changed something on their server. I just sent an email to them about it.

Thanks mucho! Great work on the scripts.

Can you tell me why it says that make.pl can't be run on a Windows box on the c3scritps site? I am hosted on a Linux/UNIX box but I copied my directory structure from that box to my windows box and run make.pl on the windows box then I copy the data files back up to the Linux box. It seems to work fine.

    1. BettyMills.com has fixed their search URL. It appears to work fine now.

    2. That note about DySE not runnable on a Windows PC is for the view.pl portion of DySE. You can run make.pl on your Windows PC (using ActivePerl) and then upload the database files.

    Hello Guys,

I'm sorry, maybe my question not suitable here. I just want to ask your opinion about using Betty Mills DySE. I have used few years ago own script for displaying and parsing BettyMills datafeed. But I saw that GOOGLE not like affiliate sites, so all my sites receive suppplemental index and I lost almost all visitors. So I would like to hear from you what situation you have with Betty Mills DySE script?

    Thanks

In regards to the Betty Mills search box; it is working on their site, but I'd like to report a problem that occurs when trying to search directly from the DySE bettymills store on my website.

The error message is "No loaded Search Files are associated with this Site Key", and you allways get "0" search results. Every thing else works perfectly.

    Regards,
    Stan

BettyMills.com has fixed the problem at their end: "Should be working now. Also tested the cookie and it was set to [the affiliate's ID] when I clicked through. Our search provider moved to a new farm recently and changed the location of the [search] URL."
