I'm sure we all have some memories, crude rumors, or stories we can't wait to share. Here's a conveiniently located thread to share them
Mine? Summit got HUGE! I's become Disneyland! You can't get everything accomplished in 3 days.
I actually had a list of people I had to see, and now I have to contact people (like Gary/AvantLink) and say "oops/sorry/hopefully next year"

Kellie's, Andy's, and Jim's presentations were great. Enjoyed them all.
I missed Mr. Hazard's, but only because he told me I'd be an idiot to go (Since I'm an OPM).
Also, if anyone attended the recruiting Super Affiliates meeting, it was amazing to listen to the three of them talk about tactics, especially explaining very specifically what they are looking for in a program. It made me realize a few things about the clients I am looking for if I want the big search marketing players in...

Kevin - can't belive we were both staying at Hooters, both attended the same convention, and didn't meet until the summit ended.
Another cool memory:
Of all the people at Summit, the most straight-laced, nicest guy... riding up the elevator at Hooters with... Asif!!
(He says it was the only room left in Vegas when he booked). Uh huh!!

Billy was glad to meet ya even if we didn't get to hang out.
As far as memories. Well, I'll always remember the trouble I got in with my wife for losing some of our money -haha.

Billy is totally right, it has gotten huge and I didn't get to talk in depth with all the people I wanted to, but I got to meet LOTS of folks from ABW that I hadn't met before, the pins were snapped up on Sunday and the few left were in hot demand Monday and Tuesday. I loved introducing popdawg to people!!!! Their reactions were priceless. And putting faces to names is priceless.
The awards ceremony was memorable, the parties were great because of the people at them and the Jam Session showed us some quietly talented folks that you would never guess could sing and/or play drums/guitar/harmonica
And I got lots of hugs from people because Connie told them to in the Summit Tips thread "I came over to give Loxly a hug."
I guess I can say my favorite memory will be watching other people that have never been to a Summit or to Las Vegas make *their* memories. Watching people meet in person that have been friends for years and watching people get excited when someone showed them how to gamble and watching people see the strip for the first time....
Lots of memories....Deborah Carney

Many of us could probably right a book about the memories of these past few days.
Billy, I'm glad I got to meet you even though it was very brief. I hope to spend more time chatting with you at the next one. Thanks again for your help with a limo. The company you recommended was booked that night because of the fight but they recommended another company and that worked out well.
Won't even try to mention all the people I met in Vegas but will say it was awesome. Talking with ABWers was like a reunion with old friends, even though I never met most of them before. Being able to put faces and personalities to names was great. Building more personal relationships was priceless
I'm meeting with a client tomorow morning so I'm still in Vegas and will spend the day trying to catch up on all the work I haven't been able to do these past few days.
Thanks to everyone I met for the wonderful memories!!

Asif straight laced? hahahahahahahaha
More like wildest, craziest guy in affiliate marketing!
So glad many of you have memories that you can actually remember. ha ha
I am now having nightmares from some of that country music at the Jam Session, (there will be paybacks for those who dedicated those songs to me)
I did listen to my iPod on the way home to try to flush it all out.
Is it bedtime yet?

It was a wonderful time. Each time I meet with affiliates, AM's, network reps, I am reminded what a wonderful business we are all in. Everyone is always so warm, witty and friendly.
Glad I stayed an extra night to enjoy Mystere and a fantastic dinner over at Treasure Island (thanks again, Scott and Kristin, for coordinating all that).

Sorry - tried to edit last post but time expired so posting rest here.
I had a blast and so glad I was able to make it out again. I also didn't get half of what I wanted to get accomplished, accomplished, also due to sheer size of what Affiliate Summit has become... it's clearly a more successful convention from a financial/business standpoint and offers more in the way of exhibits than in years past but I found the sessions weren't nearly as full now that they are split into tracks (though tracks are a good thing)... I remember the days when Summit was at the Riviera for example, when sessions had standing room only at times.
I felt it was tough to get as broad a base of network contacts as I've been able to in the past partially due to the fact that it was held at a bigger venue with a lot more variety in terms of "after parties" etc and everyone seemed a lot more split up into smaller groups than had been in the past.
Having said that, one of my big "to do's" in coming to the Summit this year was to get face time with all the online contacts & friends I've made over the years here at ABW, as well as connect w/ old contacts/friends from previous summits/events - and I was able to do a lot of that.
Loxly (you DO give good hugs!), Billy Kay & team (Billy, my comrade in 'acceptable flakiness' - hey guys, we coined a new term!), Uncle Scooter (congrats, AGAIN), AndyR. (two words - you ROCK! Ghost Bar was SO much fun), Donuts (you are TRULY somethin' else - thx for the many laughs - I'm still shell shocked from the coat check lineup at Tryst), NYFalcon (always the gentleman), Asif (tasmanian dance floor devil), Michael Coley (always the professional), Geno & Nick P. (Thank you - you are both dolls; wish we had more time to hang out), Rexanne (so charming, as expected), OJMoo (I will never look at cows the same way again), South Beach Annie (one very unique girl - we had a hoot, didn't we?!), JudyM. (you make me feel sane, stay in touch), Anne F. (You REBEL you!), FindmyPayDayLoan team (I am SO glad I invited myself to your table at the casino bar on day 1 - stay in touch!), Emilio (this guy knows how to cut a rug on the dance floor!), Adam Reimer (We'll always have nachos & penny slots...honey, CALL me!), Carolyn Tang (you are SO cute - dancing was fun - get some rest!), 7Days (I swear, it's just a gardening reference!), Connie (will forever you remember you heckling Anne's country music performance at the SAS jam session - you should have been a standup comedienne), Alan & son from AmeritrustRX (red bull gives you wings!), Kellie S. (loved the presentation but sorry you weren't feeling well), Kim Rowley & entourage (and so many more... was wonderful to meet/see you all, and to have a chance to talk and most of all, laugh and make these memories!
-Police coming to Indigo Lounge (Bally's) 'cuz affiliate marketers are such a "bad" bunch
-Blue metallic men's thong emblazoned w/ ShoppingBookmarks.com logo (it really got around), worn over Kim's pants superman style, and next on Andy's head - and I have the pictures to prove it! (thanks for telling us where it's BEEN KIM!)
(For some reason at every Aff Summit, at some point, underwear ends up on someone's head and I always end up w/ a picture of it! Last time it was Dave Delisle (webbloom) & Brook Schaaf with webundies!)... I see a pattern here...
-The ever talented Brian Littleton and his smashing pink flamingo hat
-Counting Crows, Mr. Jones - LOVE that song...
-Anne sitting stage side, belting out country tunes just for Connie
-Anne/Connie competing for most hugs w/ Scoot
-Andy buying roses for all the ladies
-Judy Moore & I admiring the hookers' outfits
-Kellie S. jiving to motown - you GO girl!
-The glass floor on the roof top patio @ Ghost bar (is it 56th floor?)
-Asif's dance moves
-3 hours sleep every night
-Ice sculpture chocolate martini shots & team of perfectly lovely Sprite clones flitting around in velvet at Tryst
-Vodka shots with Geno (Just TRY the vanilla Stoli Geno, just TRY it!)
-Too many to list!
Many kisses/hugs to all! I hope to make it out to Miami this summer to do it all again!

Well, I'm way bummed I missed it this year! Especially seeing Asif tear up the dance floor like he does so well (Connie - wild and crazy is right, for sure! Imagine if the guy ever had a drink in him!). I vote for making Asif the Official Affiliate Summit Dance Floor King. Anyone with me? Sounds like it was a great time!

A few more remarks..
Scooter gives the BEST hugs. He is the best hugger ever. If you haven't been hugged by Scott, you haven't been hugged.
AlexBet is more awesome in person. I was very honored to have finally met my graphics god.

My memories are too many to name. Taking precedence is the cold that I have. Before I got home from the airport I was full on sick.
More to come after I catch up on sleep.
What a time!!!!!!!!

The comraderie, especially with fellow ABW'ers. Met so many new people and got to see (again) the many who I met in Chicago last August. The impromptu get together at Rexannes and talking marketing with Donuts, Scoots, Rex, Jonesy, Andy, Emilio and I trying to understand my Spanish! (ouch - but I am trying).
Grabbing Andy's name tag before he got to the affiliate dinner Saturday night and introducing myself as Andy Rodriquez. Then getting duped by Billy who I had not met before. He introduced himself as Haiko and had me fooled. But I appreciate the nice things you had to say to me Billy Haiko.
Walking up and down the Paris mall with our ABW group trying to find a "quiet' place where we could visit and talk industry. Getting to know Laura from Vanns better - she is a super person. Seeing my buddy Carolyn again, you are such a special person CT. Meeting Sarah at the Jam, it was so nice to meet you. Drumming for Scooter to Mustang Sally, Singing my Willy Nelson song while Mike Nunez danced with his girlfriend. Singing an Elton John duet with Brian. Man, you are a super piano player Brian.
Talking with Danny K, Kellie, my son and others at the Indigo lounge until the wee hours of the morning about Kellies business. Then Kellie, Danny K and I continuing the conversation until after 5 am while the place was empty. Kellie, you are definitely an asset to the affiliate marketing industry and on top of it, you are a pleasure to visit with, thank you.
ABW members kicking butt on the awards!!
My son Zach coming to his first summit, and the many new people he finally got to meet. He had a great time gang and thanks for the compliments I received from so many of you about him. He is a very special young man. The night before we left for the Summit he and his wife Madi also called us to announce that they are expecting their first child - woo hoo!!
Liz, it was great to meet you and get to know more about your business too. Ann great to see you again - you are a treat to be around. Lox spending endless time shooting what must have been hundreds if not thousands of pictures and yet still managing to socialize and have fun. You are the tops Deb.
Having drinks with Matt, Paul and Hunter, the Home Town Quotes team and volunteering the bill to Matt! (see what happens when you call me the "old"man Matt! Sorry I missed your call Monday night but I was finally fast asleep after two straight 22 hour days!! Great to see you again.
There are so many great memories it would be impossible to recall them all. But I will always recall the positive interactions we had together. ABW was well represented and aside of feeling like a Zombie today I came back to FL with a new energy and some new plans for the future.
Thanks Gang - the trip and the hours of lost sleep were well worth it. See you in Miami!!

It was so incredibly wonderful meeting all of you! I can't thank Andy and Loxly enough for introducing Amy and me around Monday night. It ended up leading to an unbelievable experience.
Interestingly, my favorite memories are the "good byes" because they demonstrate how quickly I got to know people. From not knowing someone on Monday morning to sincerely hugging them good-bye on Tuesday or Wednesday showed just how fast we became real friends.
Some of my other favorite memories are not appropriate for posting!!

My best memories will be of meeting folks for the first time. Every one was great. Ditto to what Alan said above. What more can I say!!
I enjoyed myself immensely. The only downside was not spending enough time with everyone, between the expo, presentations, and "recovery time".
BTW:To Gary at Avantlink, hope your limo made it to the Airport on time!!

It was a great time!
As always, meeting and re-uniting with ABWers was the highlight almost overshadowed by my plunge from the plane (plummet at the Summit.) That was toooooo fun!
Hanging out at the SAS booth where all the cool people were, the ABW award show , hangin' with Scoot & Donuts, bonding with Adam (LOL), the impromptu parties in my and Scoot's rooms, winning a sh!tload of money (still haven't figured out how much!) while everyone else enjoyed Mystere, surf & turf dinner at Treasure Island with the gang, the few presentations I was able to get to (Scoot's and Kellie's were both great!), Wheel of Fortune with Scott Campbell, Ron, Sue & Leslie , talking affiliate marketing and Mensa mania with Danny K. and Adam late the last night , seeing so many talented ABWers play and sing at the jam session, watching Alan H. have such a great time and discovering that he happened into the very best business in so many ways , watching Missy cut loose and have FUN ("God wants us to dance!" ), and on and on ...
I missed meeting some of you and I'm bummed! Gary (Avantlink) and Popdawg ... :-( - Next time!
There wasn't enough time to do everything or to spend time with everyone I planned to meet but the good memories are plentiful! And I learned a thing or two, too.
Can't wait to do it all over and especially to see everyone again!Peace,

I do want to say Thanks Billy for actually wearing the shirt, and it seemed you wore it proudly. I was proud to see you wearing it, you looked HOT in it! Billy is such a hottie. All the women love him.
Lest I forget, I enjoyed chatting with you too Danny! We gotta hook up here in the cold tundra! Party at my house in June.

Wow, it was a great time! I felt like I got so much, yet so little done! 2 days is just not enough time! I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you Gary, Pop and Liz!! It's just so difficult to catch a moment with everybody! From the minute I walked in on Sunday I was tossed around from merchant to afiliate until my throat was raw. And I hadn't even got 10 feet from the bar! It's great seeing familiar faces, putting faces to avatars and just talking about this industry.
The sessions were great, but I had to cut most short just to catch the other half of a concurrent session. Shawn how about a 3rd day next time
Came back with some nice booty including slippers from CrazyForBargains (Thanks Carolyn!), some action figures from TFAW.com (Thanks Dale!) and even an "I *heart* Affiliate Marketing" T-Shirt! The multitude of open bars was great and I enjoyed the endless coffee in the back.
The only unfortunate event was the loss of my jacket. Left it to hold my seat before a session and it vanished without a trace. No luck with security or lost and found. Got my fingers crossed they'll call though! At least in the past I dropped my digital camera at Summit West '06 and it turned up in lost and found right away.
Between the summit in Vegas and the Linkshare summit in San Fran it was a wonderful past week. Had some great networking and am looking forward to next time.

Somehow getting into the Pussycat Dolls Party at Pure.
Paul getting pick-pocketed Saturday night while I was in critical care...and our CEO ended up there the next morning. Sadly none of this had anything to do with the alcohol
Doubling down on a $200 blackjack hand and losing
The awards ceremony - Congrats AGAIN to all. Doing too many shots that night.
Singing (losely defined) Mr jones with Michael Nunez of course. Alan trying to sing Piano Man. Paul playing the drums (did not know he could) and singing (also kind of losely defined) some Hootie and the Blowfish.
Brian and ShareASale can simply throw one hell of a party.
The VIEW from the Ghost Room at the Palms...WOW! The word breathtaking does not exactly describe it.
Lastly, meeting so many great affiliates, affiliate managers, talking shop, and not shop, getting to hang out with some of our affiliates, and talking to potential ones. I learned more in 3 days than I do in entire months...and had a blast doing it!
