    Hi Everyone,

I am a newbie to affiliate marketing. What are the best networks to work with that have good offers? Also what are good keyword tools? I have no problem reading to learn more in the affiliate world but I am overwhelmed and really don't know where to start or what questions to ask. Any suggestions please send my way

Here's everything I use and it's a big shopping site with many categories:

    http://www.cj.com
    http://www.linkshare.com
    http://www.performics.com
    http://www.shareasale.com
    http://www.avantlink.com
    http://www.affiliatefuture.com

Then I have a whole bunch of inhouse programs.

That's pretty much my main site.

On another site I also use:

    https://www.google.com/adsense/
    http://www.chitika.com/

As far as which it the best, you can make money and get paid with all of them. You would have to check them out and look around and see what they have to offer and what you will think might match what you're looking for.

    Amy,

This question comes up about every day now. What you are asking is all the secrets that people here took years to learn and find tune. Please search the forum, read, read, read, try, try, try, ask a question, read, read, read, try, try, try.

You use Chitika, Trust? Interesting. I can't recall hearing too much good about them in the past. Maybe I've been misinformed.

Yep on my forum. When they first came out there were some problems with audited vs. unaudited revenue, some threads about it back then. But I tried them again and haven't had any problems since. In fact, I just got a payment notice plus payment into my PayPal account today. Besides the eminimalls they also have shopclouds. Haven't tried that one out yet, that might work well on blogs. That's where I've usually seen those cloud type of things.

    Amy,

I know It's hard for a newbie to affiliate marketing to know where to start or what questions to ask, but other than using the button first, before you start to ask questions, I will 100% with what Trust just posted, so I will repeat it:

Hi Amy...welcome. You have every reason to be overwhelmed. Affiliate Marketing and online marketing in general is a very deep and complicated subject. What's the joke about how to eat an elepant?...one bite at a time.

I found SiteBuildIt and Ken Evoy's free ebooks very helpful. Also you could go to our Education section. It's a good overview for a beginner. Check out the beginner tools section for some links to great resources for beginners.

    Good luck...

    Hi Amy!

I agree with Trust on the network list. The best advice I can give regarding this topic is to reserach a company as much as you can before signing a purchase order. There are tons sites that list bad companies and experiences people have had with them. I know sometimes companies just develop bad PR, but I would rather go with companies with good reps. Try to find out who their clients are and look at case studies.
Keep your chin up! I have been at this stuff for over a year now and sometimes I feel like I am back at day #1. The people on ABW know their ish and so reading old threads help so much. Good luck!

Amy, do you want offers or are you putting retail product links on your sites? That will determine the type of network you want to work with for one thing. The other important consideration is your audience and your focus. Are you setting up a mall? Or a targeted site? If you are setting up a targeted site, then the merchants are more important than the network, you need to find the merchants you want to work with and find out what networks they are on, then research if they are good or bad merchants.

It amazes me when people focus on "network" instead of product offerings or merchants. When recommending networks, I always suggest starting with Shareasale, but really you need to know what fits your site merchant-wise and go from there.
