    The secret to getting rich
    Network! Network! Network!

Funny because a millionaire told me that when I was 14. He was a guest speaker for a business program I was in. And when he was leaving I got a chance to exchange a few words with him 1 on 1.

He said "kid, if you only remember one thing from this day, just remember the key to getting rich is to network, network, network.

Now when he said that of course my young mind didnt grasp it. I actually was kind of confused if i remember correctly. Sure enough though I dont remember his name, where he worked, or anything, but i remember what he said. And boy is it ever so true.

It's funny because you never know who you are standing next to. That person could be somebody that could be a person that could potentially help you make millions. Thats why I talk to pretty much everybody I come across. All day everyday.

for example last year I met a girl. Ayoung girl who goes to a college not to far from me. Mind you ive been a music producer for 5 years now. And just so happens this girl was at an internship for a semi-major cable station. our relationship grew. To make a long story short, I ended up getting the production contract for last year. I got paid a high 5 figure salary for producing all the music for the station.

I said that to say network with everybody! what are some of experiences with good networking?

Networking is definitely the key to success. Knowing who to mentor, who to listen too, who to read, and who to emulate. You don't find that out without talking to people. Not only in person, but online, in places like this where you can form relationships that benefit all. You can read read read and get to know people without traveling great distances. Then you can meet them in person when there is an opportunity, and you already "know" each other

In addition to not knowing who you are standing next to, you don't know who you are posting next to, and who might be reading

The secret to getting rich: There is no secret. There are however, laws governing the accumulation of wealth. Start with this one: Never spend more than 70% of your income. That's from the book, "The Richest Man in Babylon" - sound financial advice.

Networking is good. Since I'm always on the road I meet a lot of people...some very interesting people and some are so full of BS you can't get away from them fast enough.

This reminds me of one older couple the wife and I met a campground last summer in Washington (state). After shooting the breeze with them for a few hours I found out this guy use to work at Area 51 in the 70's. He said he worked on the F117 project while he was there. Now he didn't divulge any secrets but he did seem very credible. Who knows? Anyway, I was saddened to find out there weren't (and never was) any aliens there.

Also, I had an opportunity to work with a very rich millionaire for a few weeks. One thing I learned about him was he was very good at manipulating people...getting them to happily do things for him without much effort. Could this be another trait for success?

No - it's just manipulation. Not at all desirable unless one doesn't care about making friends.

People equal Money. I've long said that.... Networking gets you people... Customers, clients, mentors, employees, investors, advertisers, John Q Public can all bring you money if you know how to interface with them.

Well young rich one, I am already quite rich.
-I have an adoring wife and 5 wonderful kids
-We have a modest home and 30 acres, and all our basic needs are met
-I know where I am going when I die, and I won't need a dime when I get there

If that isn't more than enough riches, then no amount will be.

You are exactly right! I'd hate to be stuck working for the guy.

Being rich to me is not having any debt. It's a matter of having enough money to meet my needs and occasionally some wants. I'm the richest man in the world

    Cheers!
