    I think PrimaryAds is about to screw me.. Please advise
    I joined primaryads.com late November and I did well with their AFF CPA offer ($3.75 per free register) so i decided to give it a full push in December.

    On Dec 27th I got the e-mail below:

    date Dec 27, 2006 11:42 AM subject PrimaryAds - Adult Friend Finder

    David,

    I hope all is well. We were checking stats on Adult Friend Finder and the advertiser has no record of your leads coming in. We also found that you are framing the landing page which is a violation of our terms and conditions.

    We need to fix the tracking immediately and the framing is the main problem why it's not tracking properly. We also will have a very hard time collecting money from the advertiser because of this. I would strongly advise to pull your traffic immediately.

    Let me know if you have any questions.

    Then on Jan 3rd I got the email below:

    date Jan 3, 2007 10:10 AM subject PrimaryAds - Adult Friend Finder

    David,

    We had to take down Adult Friend Finder effective today (1-3-07), the offer is still not tracking properly and we can't leave it up on the network any longer.

    We did redirect it to Eroticy. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    I had no problem with my November payout so I thought that every thing should be ok with my December payout, I just received my check today and I noticed that over 80% of my check was deducted.

    I Immediately contacted my PrimaryAds account manager via AIM and and here is what he stated:

    davidschomb (9:15:19 AM): hi

    mattprimaryads (9:15:25 AM): hey</I>

    davidschomb (9:15:36 AM): i just got my dec check

    davidschomb (9:15:53 AM): and it was 80% less than what i expected

    davidschomb (9:16:19 AM): i made over 5k in dec and yet i only got $1158

    davidschomb (9:16:55 AM): i checked my stats and it looks like you removed many of my aff leads

    mattprimaryads (9:18:39 AM): acct number?</I>

    davidschomb (9:18:50 AM): 3593

    davidschomb (9:21:46 AM): i had over 1500 leads and now i only see 301

    mattprimaryads (9:24:23 AM): what offers were you running?</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:24:26 AM): that you saw the drop?</I>

    davidschomb (9:24:31 AM): aff

    davidschomb (9:24:52 AM): the drop was only on that offer

    mattprimaryads (9:26:48 AM): oh I remember</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:26:54 AM): that was in regards to Adult Friend Finder</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:27:00 AM): remember the problems with that</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:27:14 AM): they wouldn't pay us on the traffic because of the framing the landing page</I>

    davidschomb (9:27:28 AM): yes you sent me a e-mail that you stopped working with them due to tracking problems

    davidschomb (9:29:24 AM): I was not informed that over 80% of my leads will get cleared

    mattprimaryads (9:30:29 AM): oh, it was everything</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:30:33 AM): or a lot of it</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:30:43 AM): they had basically no records of your leads</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:30:51 AM): because the framing messed everything up</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:31:01 AM): then we had to drop the offer</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:31:05 AM): because of these problems</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:31:12 AM): we didn't get paid from them </I>

    mattprimaryads (9:31:15 AM): on a lot of stuff</I>

    davidschomb (9:31:54 AM): I am in lose I made less than my ppc expence

    mattprimaryads (9:32:28 AM): oh so are we</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:32:34 AM): we took a major loss as well</I>

    davidschomb (9:33:51 AM): their is no way they will ever pay you?

    mattprimaryads (9:34:19 AM): we may get a collection agency after them</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:35:03 AM): I know bud, this was tough for us</I></I>

    davidschomb (9:35:11 AM): how much do they still need to pay you?

    mattprimaryads (9:35:16 AM): a lot</I>

    davidschomb (9:35:31 AM): they didn't pay for everyone?

    mattprimaryads (9:35:32 AM): not 6 figures</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:35:35 AM): but a lot</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:35:42 AM): once this problem creeped up</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:35:50 AM): it brought others</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:36:00 AM): and then no payment</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:36:09 AM): so big problems </I>

    mattprimaryads (9:36:25 AM): but the problem with your page was</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:36:35 AM): framing has to get approved</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:36:41 AM): and they said yours wasn't approved</I>

    davidschomb (9:37:09 AM): did other affiliates get paid less for that offer?

    mattprimaryads (9:39:13 AM): no one got paid</I>

    mattprimaryads (9:40:02 AM): I will be back shortly

    My account manager stated that everyone had payout problems with the aff offer, I want to know if members of this forum had a similar problem like me with PrimaryAds or am I the only one that got screwed?

    Not sure about most of that but as to the framing part:

    "We also found that you are framing the landing page which is a violation of our terms and conditions.

    We need to fix the tracking immediately and the framing is the main problem why it's not tracking properly."

    A. If that's true then you violated the terms.
    B. As far as the tracking, that can happen:

    "That is the key. I think one reason it may get buried when brought up also is that it is usually in the context of a generalized statement "Frame your links" with no mention of those stipulations above. I can't say how many times I've seen affiliates who have framed their entire site and I've seen them blocking their own cookies. "

    I was told that PrimaryAds is a blacklisted company.

    Removed the link to ridiculousness.

    Not sure about PrimaryAds but from reading they don't sound good. He listed two "blacklisted" companies. I guess his own personal blacklist, one was primary ads the other CJ which doesn't make any kind of sense.

    I don't know anything about PrimaryAds, but AFF has a pretty dreadful history. I would certainly stay away from them until they demonstrate that they've changed dramatically.

    Work with CPA networks and this is bound to happen sooner or later. I'm sorry it happened, but hopefully you will learn a valuable lesson from this.
    If there is something shady going on that the company you are working through is doing, it can affect your payouts since you are their subaffiliate. Not saying this is the case here, but the excuse that your framed page was not approved smells fishy to me.

    dshumb,

    Don't ever duplicate cross post over multiple forums that's just wrong. Decide where and stay there. Next time I will remove it.

    copy of direct track = $4,750 / year...

    bottom line pre-tax profits it was forecast to produce for cgi / think when it was acquired in 2005 = $4,000,000+ / year...

    affs running iframed offers for AdultFriendFinder...

    you chased high payouts without using your better discretion (like your cross posting and posting internal conversations - won't solve your problem)...

    claims like... CTR's as high as 74%! Conversions as high as 19%! email single submits... paid surveys...

    stuff like this...
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    PrimaryAds Inc. is expanding their service offering with the launch of two new divisions: Primary Leadgen and PrimaryListManagement!
    The names say it all:
    PrimaryLeadgen.com is a lead generation co-reg network, which delivers thousands of pre-qualified leads to merchants every month, to fire up your sales teams and close more business!
    PrimaryListManagement.com is a 100% turnkey email marketing solution, which offers optimization, deliverability, and exceptional revenue on a performance basis - meaning no risks for you!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    hmmm... such unusual things to see in a CPA network... not.

    Would one of the big networks not charge back leads/sales that were found to have been generated in violation of advertiser Ts and Cs? Sounds more to me like the affiliate fudged a little on the rules.
