    Question Request for Pre-Launch Suggestions
    Hello Everyone,
After years of helping others, I'm about to launch my own affiliate program through Share-A-Sale (it should be live in a few weeks). In addition to my own experience I have done quite a bit of reading here (and at other places) and would love to hear your opinions as well as what you would like/hate to see in the program. Some general info about what I have planned...

    Comissions: 15%-20%
    Second Tier comissions: 2%-5%
    Cookie lifespan: 90 days
    Phone orders will be tracked
    Currently short on banners
Free shipping on orders above $50
1000's of products in the pet industry
    Auto deposit & auto-approve

As this is a new site I do not have any stats on CTR, EPC, order size etc...

The site is currently functional, but we are using the PayPal shoping cart. As such I didn't want to launch the affiliate program until we changed it becuase orders would not be tracked until the user clicks on the "return to merchant" link. I'm guessing that a signicicant portion of users would not see and click on this link.

To avoid any semblance of SPAM, I am not posing the link to the site here. Those interested can PM me for the URL.

    thanks,
    Alon

What product do you sell, Alon? At least, tell us what kind of product.

Whatever your product is, kill that second tier, and add the "2%-5%" to the first tier!

Sorry. I see it now. "Drop the 2nd tier and pay more on the 1st one" is my advice.

The commission level sounds attractive (if your prices are competitive).

    Kill that second tier
I agree. You'll look like an MLM program.

You can't get pm's yet, so you will need to post an email address or IM info for people to contact you.

I would be very, very careful about posting emails on open forums. Watch out for the spams that would flood in (after bots get a hold of your email). I get more than 1000 junks/ day already. Perhaps you should post a secondary email address instead.

I know that using a full email address will get your inbox filled with SPAM. But did not know that the bots can read the name (at) domain.com format.

Kill the second tier and put that money into the first tier, as others already said.

Get a real credit card processor, not just PayPal.

Make sure you don't have any leaks on your site.

    Make sure you're on Auto-Deposit.

Read everything you can here at ABW to make sure you're ready.
