    Does Performics support an sid= URL Append?
    I'd like to append some tracking information to my URLs in the form of an sid. Does Performics support this? If it works just like CJ and SAS that would be ideal.

    Thank you,
    - Scott

    Thank you, I'll give that a shot. Where is this reported in the Performics interface?

    AHA! I was wondering what that column meant. Seemed to be the only one it could be.

    Now does Performics allow automatic downloads of sales reports?

    We get an FTP post each day, of the previous days activity, you may want to ask for that.

    automated offline reports
    We're going to build an interface down the road so you can configure this yourself, but for now send an email to affiliate at performics . com and let them know you are requesting an automated offline report.

    There are basically the same reports available in the interface (transactions, activity by date, activity by advertise, activity by link). You can request them for any time range, for all or some of your advertisers, to be delivered via email or FTP.

    You can also programmatically retrieve the report. If you have an HTTP client library that can post to an HTML form and maintain session, you can do the following:

    1. Go run the report you want to automate.
    2. Copy the url of the export to excel link at the top of the report
    3. If you want the report with a little less formatting, append csv=1 to the url

    Now, use your HTTP client library to login to connectcommerce and then retrieve the link you copied in step 2 above. Here is some (pseudo)code using the python ClientForm library:

    forms = ParseResponse(ClientCookie.urlopen('http://www.connectcommerce.com/'), backwards_compat=False)
    form = forms[0]
    form["UserLogin"] = YOURUSERNAME
    form["UserPass"] = YOURPASSWORD

    response = ClientCookie.urlopen(form.click())

    response = ClientCookie.urlopen(EXPORTTOEXCELLINK)

    reportlines = response.readlines()

    we're also toying around with web services for reporting but are still working through hardware requirements, quota policies, etc.

    Hope that helps,

    pardon the dumb question, but what would the link look like then? you just add on &mid=xxxx where xxxx is whatever you want the tracking info to be?

    When I read this post in January, I added the tracking to my ads.

    When I do an Activity Detail report I see the Publisher Member ID column, but it contains no data, whereas every transaction had a mid in the affiliate link.

    My guesses are that either

    a) you need to have this switched on in your account
    or b) the fact we used capitals &MID=xxxx somehow stopped it from working

    It would be great to look up the help files in Performics to find out the proper implementation, but they have not been available for a long time (in their place is stuff about PPC, very confusing for affiliates!)

    Anyone know why it isn't working for us?

    Thanks,
    Rob

    Hello,

    The MID should not be capitalized. Please change it to mid.

    We are in the process of updating our help section. Feel free to contact affiliateATperformics.com with any additional questions.

    Does anyone know the length restriction of the &mid paramters, and any other restrictions, such as permitted characters? Thanks.

    Hello,

    Member IDís can be up to 256 characters long, and all special characters must be HTML encoded. Please remember that member IDís cannot contain any personally identifiable information (PII), which includes, but is not limited to, customer email addresses.

    Performics affiliate url SID or U1
    This thread help a lot and was number 3 in google under "affiliate url Performics".

    The documentation is still some old PPC stuff and is very very confusing. It's probably better to just remove that stuff and put a "under construction" page....

    More then once I add to double check I was really signup with Performics and not Performicz or Performiks.

    Thanks,
    Chris

    I'm hoping to have a new affiliate manual published with our next release in early to mid June. I will post to this forum when the document is available. I realize this has been a long time coming and I'm embarrassed it's taken this long.

    Thanks for your patience.
