    I'm sure some folks will click on it, but really, as a shopper, I am NOT going to hit a buy button under an ad. There isn't enough product info.

    But shoppers will associate that button with $10 off sooner or later. Google turning the buying public into Pavlov's dog.

    Saw it last night. Big old ugly things. As an affiliate, I'm beginning to dislike Google and some of their methods. GCO being the big one...

    I second Loxly. As a shopper, the ad is the teaser that gets me interested. It's the landing page that converts me.

    After all the information I've found here regarding Google Checkout, Pavlov's dog might respond the opposite of G's hope. My first response was "ew." The more people are exposed to the fine print - that their private info is being shared - the more popular this response will be.

    So this can actually be hurting merchants as far as their PPC costs. Curiosity clicks, not increased conversions.
