    Demographics for affiliate marketing
Does anyone have some really solid demographics for the affiliate marketing industry?

Iím looking for academic research that references sources and has been peer group reviewed.

    Geno,

    Thanks for the welcome.

My background is in market research and development.
I am not an academic, but my daughter is, and my son is studying communications and design.

I worked for a major international company in the area of market research and development and learned to talk to the experts and gather the facts before making important marketing decisions.

It just helps to understand the risk factors. It the information is not there, then you need to be very careful.

The important thing about research papers is that serious researchers always reference their material and welcome peer group review, so that once a paper has been through this process you are dealing with something solid.

The group I am with have developed a program for affiliate marketers that allows them to download data from their affiliate networks and consolidate it on their own computers.

We are also working on new areas of software development for affiliate marketers, but that's something for the future.

Are you an academic and do you have any students researching this area?

    Best wishes,
    Keith

    >>>a program for affiliate marketers that allows them to download data from their affiliate networks and consolidate it on their own computers.

A couple of years ago "someone" was developing a program that would do that sort of thing. As I recall CJ objected.

Interesting. Ron (aka 7-days) has a point there about the "new program announcement".

I have a doctorate in affiliate marketing in the area of my dreams for the nearest furture, but I am not quite ready for it yet. I am doing academic research right now (at the University of Oxford), but it is in the area of consumer psychology, not marketing.
