February 14th, 2007, 02:33 PM #1Specific Merchants' Sales Tracking with Google Checkout
Two recent threads
have discussed ongoing problems with Google Checkout sales tracking and specific merchants.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I believe that we need, in one thread, a definitive list of merchants that track or do not track sales through Google Checkout.
I have emailed a few AMs inquiring as to their situation. So far I have received one response, but it is a very good one.
From Erik Haan, at CSN Stores:
"We check our order notifications as they come in and we've seen many Google Checkout orders. Even if this tracking broke down for some reason, we have our own in-house redundant tracking, and we submit a file of orders to ShareASale once per month to pick up on cancelled orders or orders that were not picked up by ShareASale tracking for one reason or another (this is extremely rare)."
CSN Stores DOES track and they have a backup system to insure tracking.
Hopefully, many more merchants are able to provide similar responses.

Those are 2 SAS merchants.
"In the meantime if anyone has a specific concern on a specific merchant I'd be happy to look into it."
From this thread so contact Brian/SAS so they can look into it:

Holdup Suspenders uses Americart level II Google Checkout and all affiliate sales track because the cart server sets the referal click cookie and GC reports back the completed sale summary info on final checkout page.Webmaster's... Mike and Charlie

UrbanScooters.com offers Google Checkout, but has disabled it for all affiliate traffic. Customers referred by our affiliates will not have the option to choose Google Checkout. Once Google ok's pixel based tracking functionality for Shareasale we'll make GC available again.

I just received a response to the email I sent to the AM of stacksandstacks.com (CJ)
First she said she had been out-of-town and apologized for not getting back to me sooner.
She then said that I was the FIRST of their affiliates to raise this issue.
She said she would look into the problem and discuss it with the tech team at CJ, and that it was a top priority, but that it was late in the day and CJ is closed on Monday.
She did say, however, the following:
"If there is a problem, we'll find it and we will absolutely compensate you."
...to be continued

Today I received a further response to the email I sent to the AM of stacksandstacks.com (CJ):
"I am very happy to report that the Google Checkout is working and tracking perfectly on Stacks and Stacks and in CJ.
Thanks to Heather at stacksandstacks.com.
Unfortunately, I have responses from no other affiliates to post.
March 5th, 2007, 11:25 AM #10We are now tracking Google Checkout orders!
I am happy to announce that PlumberSurplus.com is the first merchant on ShareASale to use Google Checkout pixel tracking. We got the pixel tracking working on 2/28 and have successfully been tracking affiliate orders that use Google Checkout as a payment method. Like many of you, we had been waiting for this feature since December and with some hard work and great support over at SaS, we got it working. If anyone has any questions about the use of the pixel tracking code as a merchant please let me know. Affiliate questions are welcomed as well!
