    Hi,

    Hi Jorge!

    Mucho gusto en conocerlo virtualmente!

Connie is my English name and Consuelo is my actual birth name.
When I move to Canada, I had to change it to Connie since many people
used to call and ask for Mr. Consuelo.

    Hi Michael,

Nice to meet you as well!

I was in Costa Rica for a few days to see a client.
Gorgeous beaches and beautiful women in Costa Rica.

I am impressed, I didn't expect to see so many spanish
    speaking affiliate managers.

    Órale )

The main reason why I post this question is to meet other affiliate/affiliate managers where we have something in common.

I just started to promote a client in Spain and found out that affiliate marketing is very well known in that country. Are there any other spanish
speaking countries (aside from USA spanish population) where people understand the concept of affiliate marketing?

bonjour (wait, that is french).. OK, i am worst than Scott.
I think the AM from TigerDirect - Gus might be able to speak spanish.

Spent 30 minutes looking for this
"(Ah Mierda), yo soy un narco colombiano."
from Bedezzled. That cracked me up.

    Hi Eric,

Nice to meet you as well!

Tigerdirect is from Canada. Interesting to know that AM speaks
    spanish as well.

If you are a "narco colombiano", you should have MUCHO DINERO
    y MUCHAS MUJERES. ).

Actually, I was borned in Peru and we are not that far from Colombia.
Peru is the 2nd country that produces Coca leaves and there are many
    narcos there as well.

TigerDirect started in Miami, FL. There is TD and TD-Canada. It was first US, then then went to Canada. Then there is SystemMax, i think their parent company. I would know more if they send a few PC to spread their PR on ABW

Gus is a cool guy and I met him at the LS summit. I noticed that their PM change from Gus to another person. Maybe he moved up..

Esto es sólo un chiste, pero como es así que nosotros nos llamamos, te lo tengo que contar!

A mí me pedian que los salvara.

Así que pienso que a ti te pedirian, que los consolaras.

where people understand the concept of affiliate marketing?
I wish there were some more vendors in the U.S. who understood the concept of promoting sites en Espanol.

BTW I speak Spanish too but I only know the bad words LOL.

This was discussed on ABW a few times. It's not that easy as putting a spanish site out there. Yes, it can take $2-30k to get a spanish site out there.
If you are selling paper clips, having a spanish site is easy but if you are selling something technical like a gyroscope flywheel, it's a different ball game.
Are you able to support it in the long run? Customer service is one critical area.

I agree. I'd love to do some affiliate sites in Spanish.

Tenía diez años de lecciones españolas en escuela.

And although my memory, speech, and verb conjugation is a bit rusty from years of not speaking it, I still read and understand it pretty well.

Right, but first we need to figure out how to translate Affiliate Marketing and the concept to Español.

    It's possible:

Here's somebody already making $ millions with a spanish version sales clickbank type sales letter scam, I mean pitch.

    Hello guys.

Sal: Nice to meet you! Yes, I had many jokes about my name since those got worse as I growed up.

DavidH: Nice to meet you as well!
Since English is the primary language from USA, I guess there is no need to develop a spanish affiliate program.

My question was more towards spanish speaking countries like Mexico, Costa Rica or Argentina. I haven't seen affiliate programs from those places and was wondering if they exist.

Yes, it can take $2-30k to get a spanish site out there.
And how much does it cost not to?

And it seemed that the biggest sticking point was the "cost of hiring bi-lingual staff". Not to sound disparaging, but McDonalds and Burger King don't seem to have that problem with the "cost".

The market may be smaller than the native English-speaking market, but how much competition would you have?
