1. When you have a page that is converting and you decide to "tweak" it to improve the conversion rate, save a copy first. That way when your "tweaking" kills ALL sales, you won't have to cramp your brain trying to figure out how the heck it was when it WAS converting.

    2. When you take the time to create a really hot page that you know will sell and probably make you a bejillionaire, it really IS in your best interest to also take the time to upload it to your web server.

Maybe time to head before dawn for a change?

Lol, wish you'd written that a month or two ago! I managed to turn a '1 to 2 sales a day' site into a '1 sale since I changed it' site. And I just KNEW it was gonna make me a bajillionaire, though that exact term might have escaped me.

If you've overwritten a good page without saving a copy, sometimes the Wayback Machine can save your bacon. http://webdev.archive.org/

Oh no, if I was doing this stuff during daylight hours it would be much worse.

    >> sometimes the Wayback Machine can save your bacon<<

Another good one is the google cache, which has saved my bacon several times (you'd think I'd learn)... however, if you make the changes right about the time of the new index, you're hosed.

When you get a great idea, write it down first, I don't know how many times I've got distracted and then can't remember what I was going to do.

If Fred Sanford wrote that book he could have dedicated it to his son Lamont.
