Talking Extreme Ironing...Try not to laugh
I was surfing the web and came across this obscure sport that was supposedly started in 1997. The sport of extreme ironing. "Extreme Ironers" visit remote and dangerous locations and iron items of clothing? On the official website, extremeironing.com, it says:

"It is the latest danger sport that combines the thrills of an extreme outdoor activity with the satisfaction of a well-pressed shirt."

All I have to say is wow... Just thought you guys needed a good laugh.

Some days I wake up and feel like I have seen everything and am in need of something new. Now I realize people just have way too much time on their hands.

Life.....it is what you make of it. And if ironing, or watching ironing, floats your boat(literally) then have at it.

    Wow!!!
Following the 2004 Summer Olympics, five-time Olympic gold medalist Sir Steve Redgrave backed extreme ironing to become an Olympic sport. "It is a fantastic sport. It's a little bizarre in some respects, but in a few years' time, rowing could be chopped from the Olympics and extreme ironing could be in!"

    Cool Onix...
I am surprised to find someone else who knows anything about extreme ironing. I thought I was the only one. Who is the top "extreme ironer" of 2007?

Glad they remember to unplug the irons first, or at least have the sense to use batteries.

I think I just heard about this sport in the last month through my sister. I did not want to believe it but now I have a link, so that means it's official.
