    High Income Americans
A study says that only about 130,000 high-income Americans earn as much as the bottom 120 million Americans combined. I wonder how many of these 130k americans are super affiliates!
But count me out...at least, not yet....

Someone posted this awhile back here:

"Those making six figures are very definitely in the minority nationwide. Only 4.2 percent of U.S. workers with earnings reported making $100,000 or more in 2001"

4 Percent Club, those making over $100,000 a year. Lots of affiliates in that club.

    Hmmmm...
...according to the Census Bureau's Population Clock, I must be among the remaining 181,100,000 (or so) Americans. At least I "hope" so; realizing I'm not in the "top" group [yet], I certainly hope I've made it out of the bottom.

Actually, the 4% Club seems like a nice place to hang out.

Considering that 75 million Americans are under the age of 18, that statistic is pretty meaningless.

I'm not sure what income would be for the "top 130,000", but I did find these stats from 2001:

    99th percentile (~3 million people): $402,306
    99.9th percentile (~300,000 people): $1,672,726
    99.99th percentile (~30,000 people): $6,000,000+

So that would probably put the "top 130,000" somewhere around $3 million each.

I doubt that many individual affiliates make $3 million or more per year. No doubt several larger affiliate corporations do.

I love trying to figure this stuff out...
My guess is there's 50 or so affiliate marketers hitting that 99.9% ($1.6M... maybe 1.7 or 1.8 in todays $) mark.
Of those, I'd guess that 30 are companies (more than 10 employees) and the other 20 are smaller sites.

I bet there's more than 50 at that level.

Considering that the stats was in 2001, at 3% inflation, you are looking at 450k or with MC's assumption, you are looking at close to 3.5 mil. at present time.
