    Exclamation Phone Tracking causing trouble / angry customers
    This from CyberCucina:
    "This promo code phone tracking is proving to be a major pain!

    Customers are repeatedly confusing this with a discount code and complaining by phone and email that they're not getting their discount. Plus I have no idea how many just get angry and abandon the checkout when they enter 22 as a discount code and are told it's an invalid discount code."
    TO ALL:
    >Are there other merchants experiencing this?
    >How has anyone else dealt with this?

    TO SAS:
    >Is there any chance we can have it so the code does NOT display UNLESS there is an affiliate cookie present?

    >Is there any way we can change the text from "Promo Code" to something else... like maybe "Reference" or something innocuous, less "sales related"?

    We'd REALLY like to continue with phone tracking, but if we can't resolve this issue, sadly, we may be forced to abandon it.

    This is all very simple. Remember, this code is hosted on the *merchant* site and is fully customizable.

    First of all, to display nothing if there is no affiliate code, change the appropriate line to this:

    var defaultdisplay = '';

    And to change from 'Promo Code' to whatever, that's this line:

    var textline = 'Office Use Only:';

    It should take all of 10 seconds to update this.

    There is a whole bunch of stuff in the Help Topics about this as well, the script is customizable pretty much as much as you want....
