What To Do When A Rather Big Websites Email Doesnt Work?
We had a rather big website join our affiliate program. When we try to email them the email always bounces. Is there a way to report this so they can get an email address that works associated with their account? Thanks

Are there details in the bounce message explaining why your email was bounced?

First, it's important to make an effort to determine why the email is bouncing. For example, does your bounce-message give you specific information like "mailbox full," "no such user," or "email not accepted from sending domain" or "addressee does not accept email from sender."

Second, try sending a message FROM another email address that uses a different mail server, and see if that message is getting through.

Third, check WHOIS and other resources and try to call the affiliate. If you're having trouble finding the affiliate's phone number or contact info, consider contacting another friendly affiliate manager whose (non-competing) program is being promoted by the affiliate -- they may have better contact info, and might be willing to relay your request to talk.

Finally, do some basic homework to determine whether your domain, IP address, or mail server might appear on any "black lists" or may be configured in a way that triggers email rejection by other servers. Don't EVER trust your ISP's assurances that everything is OK, or that it's someone else's fault that your email isn't getting through. Note that some "blacklisted" ISPs will actually filter and block bounce messages so you won't realize there is a problem (they'll claim that they are only blocking spam and many "bounce messages" are actually spam, which is true).

we are not blacklisted and our email is being sent from the shareasale servers. I dont have the email on hand but believe the reason was address does not exist. Whois is private registration since this is a rather big site

    More thoughts:

    (1) Have you tried emailing the affiliate from your gmail account?

    (2) You've probably already thought of this, but is there anything in the text of your email that might trigger a content filter? An obvious example would be "nipple rings," since that's a category at your site.

    (3) Check if there are other domains listed in the ShareASale details page for this affiliate, and research those for contact info.

You may have SPF rules that cause the SAS emails to bounce.

SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is a setting on *your* domain that prevents others from 'impersonating' your email. When an email is sent from the SAS server, but with your 'From:' address, that would trigger an SPF bounce.
