    I'm proud of my self
This doesn't have anything to do with affiliate marketing etc.

But I reviewed a laptop for toshiba and they want to se the article and award I gave them in an ad campaign and on their website.

    Yay for me.

Ok I m done tooting my own horn.

Should I stick a toshiba direct link in my review and make some doe?

Of course you should make some dough! But you'll probably need to be careful as to the HOW part. The value to toshiba (in using your article in their ads) would be that it seems to be an impartial review, so you'll want to make sure you don't lose that appearance...otherwise they may not come through with the free publicity.

On the other hand, if you don't find some way to capitalize on this, you've got rocks in your head. If you can get a link in there and not have it end up looking like a paid review, then the link is probably the best way since text links have the best conversion ratio.

Not one of my best reviews as I spat it out in 20 minutes but it seems to have pleased them.

    http://www.hardwaregeeks.com/article...on=show&id=509

I review about 2 to 3 Toshiba laptops a month and when I met with their VP a few months ago I pointed out a flaw in one of thei Tablets and it eventually got fixed.

I think the price is wrong on your review or it has gone down since then. There's an $800 difference. In your review it's $1999, on the site $1,199.99

Nice! You deserve a pat on the back for that - I'd also mask the toshiba direct link

    WTG Mike!

Absolutely make $$ on the Toshiba link. Geesh, that's what we DO! :-) Masking it so the article still maintains impartiality, as was mentioned above, would be ideal but there's no reason you shouldn't capitalize on your article.

I'm not a big fan of that underlining-popup stuff. I know it must generate $, but I just sometimes put my mouse over it, and then it covers up the text so I need to wait until it goes away.

I never had Fujitsu send me any of their laptops just cameras, but I have played with them. I prefer toshiba over theres.

BTW for those interested Toshiba is sending me the Quismo laptop with the HD DVD player and the R400 tablet for review in the coming weeks and HP is sending me their TX1000.

Nice article Mike. It made me want one. My laptop is fine but it is not fast like my desktop.
Nice job on getting Toshiba's attention
