Are there any good books that are focused on affiliates?
And I'm not talking about the hundreds of "make tons of money as an affiliate" website articles floating around the internet

Rick, I've split your post off my book thread, and placed it here under a new thread title. This should give you better visibility and hopefully better response.

Anything by Seth Godin. Not affiliate specific but great marketing books.
I have gotten many new ideas, and the books are funny, clever and make for good reading. I own all of his books.

Not affiliate specific, but an amazing read for online marketing and SEO is Aaron Wall's SEOBOOK. He is well respected in the blogosphere and an expert in his field.
I have read it through and it's chalked full of really helpful and juicy stuff.
You can get it the e-book at www.seobook.com.
I also recommend you RSS his blog and as Flamingo suggested - Seth Godin as well (sethgodin.typepad.com).

Geno's book is great for merchants, but Rick was asking about a book for affiliates.
Carsten Cumbrowski posted a great acticle this morning on Revenews that includes a pretty extensive list of books and other resources for affiliates:
Personally, I think you'll learn more (and learn it faster) just by reading here on ABW.

However, books can give you a basic understanding of everything all at once, but without the practical 'know-how' that can only come from actually getting out of the couch and start 'doing-something'.
I have personally read a number of 'get rick quick' kind of affiliate books and they are basically recycled info but if you are new to affiliate marketing they can provide you with the very basics.
The real masters will invent their own marketing strategies and secretly reap the benefits and anything you read on books would be slightly outdated.
