    I'm Kevin Costner :)
I finally looked at IMDB and can finally show people where the heck "Loxly" came from.

Kevin Costner ... Robin of Locksley

I spelled it phonetically to keep it short and easy While watching this movie this afternoon I heard the Sheriff of Nottingham say "Loxly" several times. It was while Chris and I were watching this movie one day that the name came to us to use for our cat showing name, and Loxly became me and he was Loxly2, and later in his role playing online he became Respital, a name he made up.

So there ya go, when anyone asks, I now have a place I can point them to.... this is the official "What's Loxly?" thread....

To be honest, I've always thought the handle was named after bagels and lox.

First thing I thought of when I saw the name was Robin of Locksley. It's nice to know the back story though!

A few people "get it" right away, most don't though and eventually ask me And I just say Robin Hood. Many don't know he was Robin of Locksley though.

Maybe we should start a thread about where everyone's nick comes from... I'd be curious to hear the stories...

I guess it was because I read the original Robin Hood stories growing up, but in my mind Loxly always was a reference to Robin Hood.

I actually picked up on the Robin of Locksley moniker from the old Errol Flynn movie. Sir Robin Of Locksley I believe is what he was called after he defeated the kings ner do well brother and Sheriff of Notingham and brought peace and tranquility to the masses.
