    Jesus Christ ... Superstar
Talk about old rockers rocking harder than ever ... just saw Jesus Christ Superstar in theater with Ted Neely STILL in the lead role. He's amazing, although I don't know how playing Jesus Christ for this long a run hasn't gone to his head ... he's gotta be tripped in some way. He sang great, screamed great and generally gave a wonderful performance. Lead singer from Living Color, Corey Glover, played Judas. AWESOME!

I will date mysef here. Saw Superstar on Broadway (twic)in the early 70's, I think with Ted Neely, Ben Vereen as Judas and Yvonne Elliman as Mary Magdalene. One of my favorites, great show.

This is so spooky....last night on the way home from the office, I popped in the JC Superstar CD, cranked it up, rolled down the windows and sang along (as loud as I could - what a stress reliever!). I haven't listened to it for ages!!!

Wow, funny to hear about your "stress reliever." Back in the early 70's I used to get an occasional knock out blinding type headache every once in a while. Once I got home, I'd pop on my stereo, put the headset on, crank the volume up to "10" and listen to Stairway to Heaven while I laid flat on my back on the rug! Oddly enough it would reduce the headache.

Evidently, it's always touring and Ted Neely is ALWAYS with the show. I think this is a 1 year run so it should show up close to where everyone is eventually.

That is a serious coincidence Susan!

The music is really great and Tim Rice lyrics are always so good.

LOL. Actually Deb, hearing "problems" and "selective" hearing are often times confused with one another!
