Yeah, got the call today. Plenty of similar merchants that pay better to promote.

I was wondering how long it would take before someone posted this. Now we'll start hearing about affiliates removing their links!

I'm sure Linkshare isn't happy about this either.

Procrastination pays. Glad I never had a time to add them to the site. I'll move them from my "short list" to my "other list".

I already removed them a couple months ago because they didn't respond to my emails about their incomplete datafeed. I told them I'd reconsider them if they fixed the issues but I never heard from them. Certainly a poorly run program.

Their program has been a pain in the rear since it started 6 or 7 years ago. One thing after another. How cheap.

I pulled their links months ago after every sale through them was in the "non-commissionable" reports because of "return days exceeded." They don't treat their affiliates well at all. Nothing but bad feelings about them. Glad I'm not involved now. This would just piss me off more and I don't need the agro.

I got the same e-mail and was just surprised they would put their commission so low.

I don't know why they bother with an aff program at all. They obviously feel they don't need us and treat us with zero respect. They don't need us, other than to entice us with their brand name to replace GOOD CONVERTING, better paying and better converting toy merchants with their links.

Well, I won't push their sales anymore.. not that I had anytime recently, their shipping seems to cost as much as most items there lately anyway. I prefer to promote KBtoys or just the toys at walmart.com or target.com.

eBates, e2give, igive, mypoints, shop at home / shop at home select...

when you're stupidly paying comms out for cheaters who don't bring any new traffic, eventually, when you look at the overall roi of your program, you gotta lower the payout rates...

Wholeheartedly agree, ToysRUs is poorly run. Over Christmas I grabbed their feed expecting toys... Hmmm, silly me, I got electronics instead. They are a toy company, I would expect 1000s of toys in their datafeed. Not IPods... Now 3%... Sounding more like an electronics affiliate program...
Merchants, any data you provide to Google Shopping should also be in your affiliate network datafeed. More data means more sales!

I have some links up for them but thankfully not many. Needless to say those will be removed. Get real Toysrus - this stupid move will do nothing for you but will help your competition.

Snowman, it says: "...without our prior written consent."
So there's really know way for anyone to know if maybe they did get some kind of okay to do what they do?
Either way, their program is poop.

    Frequent Emails
Is it just me or since toys-r-us deployed its new commission structure have they been sending more frequent emails with sales links and the such. I got three today alone. Wack commissions 40% , then send so many emails it seems almost like spam. An unusual strategy to say the least.
