Question I need some help/suggestions please....
I need to set up a page, like a form. No problem there. I am using formmail.php

BUT, the problem I am having is this.

For example, one item has 80 different lengths.

I need for the visitor to be able to choose multiples of certain lengths, if they so choose.

I tested it out using formmail. I listed each size, with an input box next to the size for quantity.

Like this: (__) represents the quantity input box

    (_) 95
    (_) 95.25
    (_) 95.50
    (_) 95.75

The problem I am running in to is that when the form is submitted, it mails every field. I just want it to mail the fields that have a quantity entered.

Does anyone know how to do this? Or does someone have a better suggestion on a different way to do this?

Any help would be appreciated before I go bald from pulling on my hair! *LOL*

Have you tried using a select menu for this option?

I thought about that, but wouldn't I have to make the same menu 80 times over?

In case they wanted a certain quantity of each item?

Am I over thinking this? I feel completely brain dead. *LOL*

well .... the way I was thinking you'd only have 2 select menus for this need (not seeing the actual page layout and how products are listed).

    Example:

Select how many items you want to order and the size.
    Quantity: <select> Size: <select>

Maybe I'm not visualizing your question right ... but thats what I was thinking anyway.

Let me try to explain this further. What you are saying might work, I just might not be wrapping my head around it.

The products are archery strings. The form is for a dealer to order massive quantity of items in different sizes. They don't pay for it online, they just need to submit their name, address, and the order.

For the one kind of string, it is available in 80 different lengths. All 80 lengths have to be presented to the dealer with a quantity box next to the length.

A dealer might want to order 15 of the 60" strings, 40 of the 25" string, 5 of the 101" strings, etc.

They need to see every size to see what is offered, and have the option to get as many as they want all on one form.

Hmmm ... that is a tricky issue. I would almost think it would be easier to setup a cart with no pricing on additions to compile the added data into 1 single send upon the submission ... then you can call them and verify the order, etc.

    Is that an option?

That was my first thought, but then I got to thinking that it was going to be pretty hard too.

I think I may have to go explore that option.

    Thanks for your help though!

I can come up with a few different ideas ... but they all would require a bit of a setup curve considering you have so many variables involved within each product the customer orders.

Let me know if you need anything.
