Networks should have an optin option to recieve a offerrings from merchants if only to find there's something I missed.

I jioned Share sale, their organization of merchant groupings is way to broad.

When I clicked on a home & garden, it shows about 25 programs and stops, no next page, but I know there's more.

THe search is not so good either.

So I would like to see what is out there but I didn't see an option to get notices.

When I click on the home & garden category at ShareASale.com, it shows me this at the top and bottom of the current page of listings:

    193 programs match your search.

    Exclamation Finding merchants on sas
I'm new to your network, lot of good programs but man are they hard to find.

The organization of merchant groupings is way to broad.

When I clicked on a home & garden, it shows about 25 programs and stops, no next page, but I know there's more.

    What's up with that?

The search is not so good either.

Have sas people thought about a better layout or sub merchant groupings.

I was looking for pet programs.

    Home & Garden
Bed & Bath, Bridal, Home Appliances, Pets, Kitchen, etc.

I had to drill through what seemed like hundreds to find all the pet programs.

Each of these Bed & Bath, Bridal, Home Appliances, Pets, Kitchen should be in their own category link.

Next I went to travel, same thing 25 and that's it! You only have 25?

    on this page http://www.shareasale.com/out-programs.cfm

each of the sub categories should have a link and the results should be ALL the programs in that category not limited to 25.

There are about 30 main categories so at 25 results each it appears there is only 700 merchants, is that correct?

Sorry for the rant, but it was fustrating.

    Dan

I merged your two posts into one thread.

If you're logged in, you'll get the full listings.

try the new "Top 100 PowerRank**" feature within their merchant search area. find it on the lower right hand side.

As a pet-related merchant, I would agree that a pet sub-category would be good. While we're not pet products per se, we do have pet-themed gifts/items, and would hate it if we were missed. Our name is not pet-related, so that's a concern.

You could try searching by keyword. That might narrow some for you if you are looking to promote a particular product.

    Bob,

When I search on the term "Pets" in both the basic and advanced search, I see your program....

    Hi Brian,

One of our staff did a search and found

    Keyword pets

    NaturalEco Organics
    www.naturaleco.com/>>

    Nilima Rugs
    www.nilimarugs.com>>

    > >RugsUSA
    www.rugsusa.com>>

    > >Oak Wood Creations
    www.oakwoodcreations.com>>

    > >Shout-Outs.com, LLC
    www.shout-outs.com

We do show in those results now but why the others?
    >>

    > >

KW pet is a different story, we have that word in our keyword list?>>

    > results>

    Market Traders Institute, Inc.
    www.utpforex.com>>

    Micfo International LLC.
    www.micfo.com>>

    > >A1 Stair Lifts
    www.stair-lifts-stairlift>>

    > >Net-Trend
    net-trend.com>>

    > >
The list goes on with many unrelated pet merchants,>>

    But we are not listed.

Don't you have enough pet related merchants to make a sub-category?

I bet ya it has to do with "carpets" listed as their keyword (you enter keywords when setting up your affiliate program).

More than likely, because you do not have the word ("pets") listed amoung your keywords. I can pull you up when I type in "pets-warehouse", but not "pets".

carpets... with our florida sun, i take it a carpet is what... a new, heat-resistant dog breed that feeds on autocarpet crumbs and poops quarters for use at toll booths... a chevrolab...

tell the search algo guy to...
after looking for exact match listings... best match
take his "is in the search clause?" tester and to weight its positive results by testing for a space on either side...
if " searchword " is found, good match
if " searchword" or "searchword " is found, ok match
if "searchword" is found, poor match
so when words searched for, are fragments of larger words (no spaces on sides), they get moved down the results list.
