I don't give up that easy, ricci
this is my third time on a reply to ricci!

By the time I am ready to reply on any of ricci new threads, those threads are closed, but I am going to say what I have to say here on my own thread, I don't care if this thread get close too.

    A third reply to ricci!

    Not only that!

I am a marketing manager from AffiliateBOT. If you are selling on the internet, you'll need to establish an affiliate program and AffiliateBOT is one of the world's largest affiliate network. With our easy to use, and feature rich software, you can now grow your business indefinitely. Being accepted as a merchant on our network is like having a license to print money. Make sure that you don't take the AffiliateBOT down with you!

From day one, I always thought that anyone related to AffiliateBOT was just spamming ABW, but I never say anything until now, because I know that we all want to promote our sites sometimes, but now.......

ricci, you're beginning to piss some people off, not me that much, but since you say that you're a marketing manager from AffiliateBOT, you are just screwing down the AffiliateBOT name more around here.

    Think about it!

What are the motives behind all this?

I just signed up with AffiliateBOT yesterday, but I've been having a hard time figuring out whether or not to further promote their campaigns. I can't find much literature on them.........any advice?

I thought Ricci was a spammer from his/her first few posts. Didn't any mods notice the topics were very random and too frequent?

I was wondering that too. My own forum has been hit by spammers recently, instead of straight in there, first post with a dozen links, they've started to make real-sounding posts - though utterly off topic, cut-and-paste into a load of forums I guess.

My guess is that the purpose is probably two fold - to test the water of how closely moderated the board is before starting heavy-duty spam (must be a crappy job, registering and posting in forums before always getting removed and banned). Secondly, to build up legitimate sounding posts before adding a manual sig full of crappy links which will then appear in every post and thread.

Seems they're also trying "contextual" spam - a post about asthma seems popular and then a reply (or just in the same post) about some wonder drug they came across.

I am quite new to this forum and I thought I was in Cloud Nine finding a rich resource of information until I found this thread!
Dont get me wrong SAL but I was in the impression that this is an authority site. With this impression, I assumed that I would be meeting professional people discussing decent topics.
Sorry but from where I came from DECENT PEOPLE dont tolerate personal attacks on individual. I have seen the thread from Ricci and the moderators here have done a good job of closing down the thread.
But something is amiss....how come a personal attack on a person is tolerated by the moderators? I now have the impression that this forum is an elitist forum especially as the ranting I see are coming from more senior members of this forum.
I am sorry Sal but i am flagging your message as well - at least the decent part of me tells me so. You should have not let your hands get dirty as well by those Spammers. The only decent to do in my opinion in this case is commend the moderator. But with this shameless thread - I will take back the commendation of the moderators.

Please take a little more time to read on ABW.
ALL the mods are aware of the ricci problem and have asked Haiko to correct it.

You did find the best resource for AM'ing on this forum, but it sounds like you think it's not now b/c of this one thread.

One of the beautiful things about this board, is freedom of speech. Whether it crosses the line or not isn't really up to you or I, is it? The mods around here are THE best I have ever known, and I trust their judgement without a seconds doubt.

I have a feeling we're going to get a lot more of your "shames"/"tssks"/"thou shalt not" posts int he coming weeks, as you continue to read the countless posts at ABW. It is a wonderful place, full of wonderful advice, and of course, contains a good bit of controversy on just about every topic you can think of. It is the nature.

Since when is it a personal attack to suggest somebody think about how their actions reflect on their business/employer...?

BTW, do you work with ricci?

It is all automated, they signup, confirm and post all automated - hell their programs even search the web for forums to post in. I think they are just posting to look more real, and then spamming... it is the begining of their new step in "AI". It may look amazingly stupid to us, but having tracked down a few of these people, I doubt they speak or read a lick of english.

    To All Newbies:

Lately, this forum has been getting bombarded by newbies that end up being spammers, flamers, or both. So yes, the "veterans" are going to be a bit skeptical. The trigger is set light, so behave for the first 100 posts or so.

There is a lot to learn here. No affiliate here is going to post "Here is the best program to join" but if you read between the lines, you will figure out what the good programs are. The one sales program that converts for me better than any other was brought to my attention by a member here in a casual post.

And you can get lots of help with technical issues. And you can learn good marketing techniques. And the list goes on and on.
