The closest thing I can think of that has a wide variety of photos (nearly free) is www.istockphoto.com. They have an enormous collection of photographic work for sale (most cost around $1.00 and so on). I use them frequently.

    have you tried creative commons?

    http://search.creativecommons.org/

you can run a search there ..for example 'stress' (*Search for works I can use for commercial purposes)

    then click google tab,
    then click images
    then click search 'images'

I would check the site (you get images off of) itself to make sure they allow you use their image. To make sure.

you can search them directly from the firefox bar also.

    MindSprinter,

    I loved thier disclaimer LMAO

    "
SXC cannot be held responsible for any copyright violations, and cannot guarantee the legality of the Images stored in its system. If you want to make sure, always contact the photographers. You use the site and the photos at your own risk! "

even when you buy it from them, there are no gurantees.

Simcat, would it be ok if i were to scrape content from your sites...just so long as you didn't exclude my bots, or define that i could not? Fair is fair right?

Right, but I always contact the photographers anyway, just to be extra sure. They are surprisingly responsive and love hearing how their work is used.

    Jason,

I'd have to say your in the minority ;-) It's surprising how often stuff is ripped off and how easy it is to track down with the correct embedding ;-)

I remember a few years ago, someone uploaded the wallpaper images that come loaded with Microsoft Windows to the sxc site.

Sure, if I owned the content and indicated on my site something like:

You are free to Share to copy, distribute and transmit the work ,etc.
