How do I set up RSS feeds ?
    Hey everyone

Maybe someone can help me out figuring this out.
I would like people who come to my blog to be able to get RSS feeds of new additions in the blog as I update it.
What do I need to do to set that up and what applications create this for me as I heard that XML code needs to be created for the RSS readers to show your content.
Any help would greatly be appriciated.

    Rss Feeds
Do you have a Word Press Blog?

Some Blogs come with the feature built in where others can use your blog as an RSS Feed. Word Press has this feature built in.

If you want to pull in other people's RSS feeds to your blog...then
it depends on what kind of blog you have set up.

I know an easy way with WordPress.

    Go to: http://wp-plugins.net/plugin/firstrss/
    Download the plugin called Firstrss.
Open Wordpress and activate that plugin.

Then when you post a comment you use this syntax:

    [rsspara:http://www.marketingwithrss.com/blog/wp-rss.php]

This is the code that you put in your comments field to pull in a rss feed.

    [rsspar:http://www.younewfoundrssfeed.com/whatever.xmlorphp]

    It's very simple.

firstRSS is a simple RSS aggregator for posts. Insert "[rsspara:URL]" or "[rsslist:URL]" into the post for paragraph or list format respectively. If "[rsspara:URL]" returns junk, use "[rssdecode:URL]" instead. Replace "URL" with the URL of the RSS feed. By Chris Hatcher.

As far as your blog being a RSS Feed for others...there's a RSS button on your blog that is automatically created by WordPRess.

    Hope that helps.

    Oh...sorry...I thought you had Wordpress.

My server has Wordpress for everyone on our host there. I didn't have to download it or anything.

Yes. You'll have to get your blog up first. It's not hard at all.
