I signed up and was accepted to the Focusin ad network several months ago, but didn't put their code on any of my sites. Yesterday I was going to put them on one. I copied and pasted the 468 x 60 banner code onto a blank page to check it out. A banner displayed, along with the Microsoft security warning asking me if I want to download and install Gator.

Every time the page is loaded, a popup window or a request to ad some type of toolbar/software appears, even though the code is supposed to be for a 468 x 60 banner.
Very disappointing. Needless to say, I'll be cancelling my account with Focusin and sending them a letter explaining my position as a publisher concerning parasiteware.

Look up the domain info on Focusin and place their e-mail address in as many opt-out mail list sites you can find. Once those e-mail addresses filter thru those direct marketing wanks lists they will appear on the other spam list brokers for the porn, credit check and mortgage folks using offshore servers.
Gator needs to lose this last legal case and get run out of business.
