Post Pretty Much All Merchants Here, You Need a Shot of Pcillin
Andy R., Loxly, Geno, Chuck, Nunez, Leader, Sanderson, Jorge, and well probably a lot of others......you got a bug in your program.

Mr. Mackin, Partner Manager for Garden-Fountains.com, contacted me toady. He was reviewing applications and found something that just didn't look right and pinged me via IM. I started digging and came up with yet another shopping reminder application. And this one really takes the cake for sleaziness....

It's InnocenceOnline and the scheme is they are developing technology that will 100% filter porn and protect your kiddies who will be ruined for life if they see some porn for even a few seconds. But well, the filtering software isn't out yet..but until then download their software and then shop online and you'll be contributing to defraying the costs of developing the software. Really....I find this one of the most offensive out of all these donate/charity type deals.

Mr. Mackin gets a gold star and a glass of Chablis for at least getting a whiff that something on the web site on the application wasn't right. It sure did get past a lot of other people. I have notified SAS already, but they aren't the only Network on the Merchant listings. They are partnered with over 3500 merchants.

And I'm sure SAS will deal with it quicly, if it hasn't happened already. But this does bring up a good point. Compliance and quality is a joint effort. Managers/OPMs/Merchants are responsible as well as the Network. SAS probably does one of the best jobs in identifying things in their network. But nothing is 100% and managers need to be dilligent as well.

Zeus, yes. On another site they call it Automated Affiliate Revenue Generation System (AAGRS). There's a red flag. The actual software wasn't on that site, I had to click through a couple of sites to get to the install.

Trust, yeah I'm gonna blog about it as well. And I've installed the software. I have to finish what I was working on when Mr. Mackin IM'ed me. So probably the blog this evening. I wanted to go ahead and post here because I saw so many programs of merchants/opms on the list who participate here.

And thanks to the bump in advance. Your bump stats are down of late.

I agree with you Kellie, but for clarity, does the software the shopper downloads divert traffic? I assume yes, but I am sure others will ask. Removing him now, they have only been in my program for a couple of days and generated Zero clicks.

E-mail sent to affiliate inviting him here to help us understand his project and I even called him and left message.

It's about 'protecting children' online so would like to hear more from him before I hit the 'decline' button.

But, you know me no call or reply within 24hrs......

Thanks for the heads up on this, Kellie. 4Checks isn't listed as a merchant and thanks to you, we won't be.

I find it interesting that they are listing "merchants that will be added soon." I wonder if those listed have actually approved their application or if they are in the process of applying. I read somewhere previously that a similar type of software download affiliate was listing merchants that they hadn't yet sent an application to for approval. I wonder if InnocenceOnline is doing the same.

I just saw a lot of merchants from SAS listed on that site, and I saw the % of Donated to OIO.

Maybe the % Donated to OIO will be going up soon.......

The following Merchants are being added soon...

Nope, it's about finding an excuse to steal commissions earned by others.
These thieves are running out of excuses, charity, ecology, porn protection... What's next?
You don't need this kind of crap to protect our children from porn.

Associating Affiate Marketing with porn is a bad idea.
No need to listen to these people.

They've been promoting that site since '05, but still don't have any protection software... seems like just a scam to get people to download their app.

    Ok.

Here comes my little analysis of this affiliate:

    - I -

Affiliate listed under a different website in SaS affiliate applications. Website doesn't open well in Firefox (not that it matters), but in IE all is fine and the 'Operation Innocence Online' link is one click away from the homepage of the website they list in their SaS profile. Interestingly enough, the link simply leads to a simple printscreen of the OIO website, as does the other link on that website - the "ShopToBless" link. So do both of the "Technologies" links. See below:

Not sure if it's still in an under-construction state, or why this is so. But neither do any of the above-quoted pages lead to an external link to their OIO website.

    - II -

The "Shopping" link on the bottom of each page of the website does lead to this:

...and here you can find if your merchant is listed there or not.

    - III -

Now here's something interesting from the InnocenceOnline website itself... Go to their "Shop Online" section, and you will find that:

    and

"Donated 10% to OIO"? This is not exactly right. In actual fact, none of these companies "donated" anything to this affiliate yet. As a side note, donation seems to me to be a voluntary act, and there seems to be something imparted into the semantics of the relationship here on the side of the affiliate. But so be it... My point is different. (A) Not "donated", but "donates", and (B) Is it really "donates" (or even "donated")?? My affiliate stats for this particular affiliate show this:

    FOR FJB:

    FOR RUSSIAN LEGACY:

Not sure if what their websites say (both the one that's mentioned in the profile and the InnocenceOnline one) reflect the reality.

    - IV -

I've checked every single of my programs, and found them in 4 out of 8. The minimum number of hits they sent was 0 and the maximum was 12. 0 sales in all of my programs since 04/27/2006. And I thought: Hmmm... What's the trick? They are not doing much for me anyway... Well, it looks like they do send sales to some of the other merchants. See this part?

Means that they have already been paid at least once by the network and their status was changes from "Limited" to "Full".

    - V -

Conclusion: Misleading, misleading, and once again misleading (TO SAY THE LEAST!!).

Removed them from all 4 programs.

Thank you, Kellie! Thank you, Mr. Mackin!!

Keep up the good work and God Bless You for doing your best to keep this industry a clean (or at least a cleaner) place!!

Richard Maring has not been too succesful marketing his protection software. He has near zero traffic for this site after 2 years.
Nethertheless, like Geno said, he is misleading everybody. Merchants, networks and visitors.

Thanks Gary@AvantLink for pointing this thread to me. I am very frustrated that I found my program here for Little Giant Ladder on CJ. Frustrated because I can not find them in my joined programs. I have spent the last 2 months *****ing to CJ about their lame search function.

Does anyone have a CJ CID or PID for this parasite?? They are using redirects and the cookie is encrypted. I am majorly pissed off as I do not allow software especially from CJ. I must send them 2-3 complaints a day about fradulent or misleading applications.
