    Question Contacting CJ
I am on the CJ "Welcome Page" and I want to use the "Contact Us" button on the right hand side (in between "CJU Online" and "Help").

On the form I wish to use I need to fill in my User ID and my password.

Is the User ID the 7 digit number next to
    Account:My Legal Name (#######)?
I couldn't remember my password since my computer automatically remembers it at the point of entry & just lists *****

So I had CJ e-mail me a password (they re-set the whole thing to new).

When I fill in the 7 digit ID and the password recently sent to me the attempt fails:
The login ID and password combination you provided is invalid.
    What should I do?

I don't know why the combo would be invalid if I am able to log into CJ's "welcome page/my primary page."

Thanks in advance for your help.

Your User ID is probably the email address you use to log in. I've never seen any use for the number that appears next to Account which appears in parenthesis. Mine is 6 digits.

Did you try it with both your old password and your new password?

I tried it with the new password.

Anytime one requests CJ for the password, CJ's response is de facto a new password.

I tried logging into the system with the old password on memory but could not.

I can log in with the new password, read my mail, create links etc. but CJ makes it darned difficult to contact them.

    Rhia,

If you don't remember a password, you can use this utility that can display what is behind those asterisk ('****') characters.

    Asterisk Logger

    Asterisk Logger

The typed password is not displayed on the screen, and instead of the
real password, you see a sequence of asterisk ('****') characters. This
utility can reveal the passwords stored behind the asterisks in standard
    password text-boxes.

This utility works properly under Windows 9x, Windows ME, Windows 2000,
    and Windows XP. http://www.nirsoft.net/

Just go to nirsoft, and download the small astlog.exe file, I used that utility other day and, I was able to recover a password that I forgot about.

Very odd, but it seems that CJ no longer provides their contact info. after you've logged into your account. It still can be accessed through the Contact Us link at the bottom of http://www.cj.com before you log in.

Thanks, Snowman because I couldn't find it.

I couldn't see anywhere in the Contact Us section where you need to enter a user id or password. Was it asking you to enter it when using Ask a Question?
I would think if you are already logged into CJ it would log that for you, tell them who was sending the question.

CJ will periodically log you out for no reason and the only way to proceed is to log in again, regardless of which screen you are on. I suspect the problem she had didn't have anything to do with contacting CJ. It would have happened regardless of which link she had clicked on, similar to what is mentioned in Post #7 at http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread...ighlight=login

Well Rhia could be just part of a user name, not a real name. And the picture tells me nothing.

I hope you get it taken care of Rhia. Seems this is another example of where our "payment dropped" and "publisher payment" threads helped out another person to give them the heads up that there might be an issue.

Thanks, Nakedgamer and you are right: I find "dropped" and "payment" threads helpful.

I still have the problem as outlined in my first post but now I have something even more pressing (elsewhere) so ...
