April 21st, 2007, 06:48 PM #1Merchant without huge 1-800 #???
I have been searching for mercants w/ data feed on SAS without huge 800 # on the top right or by the logo, etc.
I am doing well with companies like Walmart on LS and would like to dabble in SAS's pond but 99% of the merchants I looked up, they have huge 800#'s.
Any suggestionsMa, where the beer? :escape:

I believe that many of those merchants have some type of tracking mechanism in place so you would get the commissions but it's a good idea to check with the merchant.~Rhia7 -- Remember the 7

The difference with SAS as opposed to the other networks is that a lot of SAS marchants can and do track telephone sales and pay commissions on them.

We've had affiliate phone tracking at Metro Uniforms since the first month at SAS, but finding that very few of our sales were from the 800 number, that it was mainly used for product questions, we removed it from every page a rew months ago ecept for the Contact Us page.
If a merchant has a high percentage of phone sales, then they need to add phone tracking and make it very obvious.
To answer your question though, I don't think there is a list of merchants like you are looking for. You might try contacting SAS directly to see if they have some type of in house list, even if partial, that is available.Ron Bechdolt | Affiliate Program Management Consultant

That is correct, CSN Stores does track phone orders. Our customer service representatives are trained to ask customers that call in for the customer code at the bottom of the webpage. This code triggers the customers shopping path and in turn lets us know if any of our affiliates reffered that order. It is not a 100% foolproof system, but it is the best practice that we have come up with thus far.

There are no "huge 1-800" numbers at www.privatemdlabs.com, and everywhere the phone number is mentioned there is a promo code clearly visible right next to it (very hard to miss!!)

On our sites (yesasia and yesstyle) there is no obvious phone number displayed. Also our ad banners on top of the page will not show if you go through a shareasale link. Both sites are also cross tracked, so we do not have leakage.
