I want your Opinions on Adsense
    Hi All,

I'm doing some personal research on Adsense. For those of you who use it (or a similar product), I would like to ask for your opinion on a few questions, if you don't mind:

    1. 3 things I LOVE about Adsense
    2. 3 things I HATE about Adsense
    3. Do you think that Adsense will move to a straight CPA platform and how will that effect you?

    Any feedback is appreciated!

Aha, good one! Why didn't I think of that.

That is a perfect formula for English 101 essay writing, like preachers are taught to do in seminary for preparing Sunday sermons:

    "3 points and a poem"

Good questions to be sure; but if I were to give them a lot of though to reply, I would probably write a paper or article myself and put it up somewhere for linkbait.

Welcome to the forums, BTW. Glad to have you here with us.

No way, couldn't happen. They'd lose a huge part of their publisher base who rely on just the clicks rather than conversions. And how much revenue are they getting now from Adsense running on crap sites?

Big drawback: Affiliates can have "relationships" and dialog with their merchant partners. With Google CPA that relationship potential would be lost; merchant relationships would be strictly with Google, leaving affiliates at a distinct disadvantage.

    LIKE:
    1) They pay my rent
    2) No reversals - what you see is what you get
    3) In some instances, Adsense is nothing short of a "free lunch"

    HATE:
I won't even try to answer that. Last time I tried to think that hard I got a splitting headache.

    Love:

    1. In my experience the ads have been surprisingly relevant, therefore...
    2. I get decent CTR's
    3. And the keywords seem to be high paying ones, so my eCPM is good too

    Hate:

    1. There is no way to legally click your own ads. Sometimes I'm interested in the topic, sometimes I just want to make sure no viruses are being installed (there has been some news about this...), but there is no way to make sure.
    2. No revenue share percentage. I have no way of knowing what an advertiser is paying to be on my site.
    3. My eCPM tends to vary wildly and I want to know why...goes whith #2

Do I think it will go CPA...no. Why? Because a lot of PPC advertisers are looking for branding as well as action, and there are lots of publishers who are not geared towards selling, which CPA demands. I think we will see CPA offers mixed in with the normal CPC in some way though.
