41 Years. I had been waiting ALL MY LIFE for something like this.

Actually in the afiliate game? 4 months for the 1st sale, til I figured out what was what - but that was without the benefit of ABW.

Is this for the first actual sale or for the first reported sale?

2-3 hours, 2 sales. Took 2 days to get the next sale though. Then averaging 1-2 sales per day the next couple of weeks.

Site was already in MSN on first/second page for my keywords when I added the aff links, but not in Google.

It took almost two months for my very first sale.

Most of that time was due to waiting for the search engines to index my first pages.

That's quicker than many people get results, I know. I had a *lot* of help getting started from someone else already doing this. She also pointed me to ABW right away.

You've come to the right place!

For me it's hard to say - before I knew anything about affiliate marketing and just had my content site with affiliate links, it took two or three months for a sale. I don't remember when stuff started selling when I finally added a boutique to my content site, but I qualified for my first cj check in about a month.

I just began a new site about a month ago, traffic's still low but I believe my first sale came within a week - it's very targeted towards selling (although the product descriptions make an amusing read ).

One month. Now, when I put up a new web site I get dissapointed if I don't get a sale the first month.

Things are very different now then in 1997. I put up a few sections of my Cybermall with some Amazon and Linkshare merchants ..paused for 2 days after submitting to some majoir SE's ( for FREE) and found sales when I returned. The quickest sale came when I was adding new products to www.suspenders.com and the owner got a sale within 5 minutes of me hitting the save button on MS Frontpage. That was this morning...
