May 8th, 2007, 03:00 PM #1I just can't win with the Chicago Cubs
Darn it! Darn it! Darn it!
Here I am heading to Chicago this weekend and thinking how great it would be to finally see a Cubs game. Yeah, you guessed it. Away games all three days I am there! Same thing happened last year!!!
Oh, wait, I can watch the game from my hotel room. Nevermind.

aww, that is a shame. i've never been to wrigley and i hear it's just as good if not better than fenway...which i have my doubts about!! but if anyone puts it on par with fenway, it's got to be a great stadium.

Don't tell me that you'll do it... SHOW ME.

I see the White Sox are playing the three days I'm there, but someone told me it is not the best area of town to be walking alone to your car and two of the games end after dark. Sunday's game is at 1:00 or so, but I have to be somewhere at 5:00, so that won't work either.
However, I did just discover the Go Chicago Card where you can get into many attractions for a set price each day. Think I might just try it and spend a long day downtown.

I was lucky enough to go to Wrigley last year and it was awesome!
I say go see the Sox Ron. The Royals are in town and have the 2nd worst record in baseball. If nothing else you might see some good screw ups. There will certainly be a good hotdog and a cool beverage in the house.
I'm crazy about live baseball. We are 2 hours from the Rangers and I got a BOGO deal just today on tickets. We'll do a few games in Arlington this summer.
Enjoy your trip.

Yeah, I missed not going last year and I've been to several KC games (they are just three hours south of Omaha). It would be fun. I'll check out the public transport and see how it looks to that area.

We're meeting for lunch Saturday near Woodfield - there's only a few of us, but we would love to have you join us.

Wrigley field, great park...Cubs, not so great...
I prefer to sit on my porch, listen to the crowd noise (I live 2 blocks away), and grill. Much more relaxing!Jason Rosenbaum

I try to get to Wrigley each year. Great park and neighborhood.
I'm spending most of my baseball time cheering for the 1st place Brewers.

I'm in Chicago but probably won't be able to take in a game. Timing of each game is just not working into my schedule.
Jason, we need to team up for a game next year when I come out!
