It doesn't usually go by this name, but this type of thread pops up on forums everywhere. Basically it's a word association game where one poster after another posts a word related to the previous word.
Anyway, somebody started one on my forum and it's just about to break 400 posts, but Haiko has nearly 6,000 posts on his. Looks like Photobucket has only about 300 or so. This is where social features can really work to your advantage as a webmaster.

We used to get a bunch of that type of thread on tardcore (odd little community) back before the second or third shutdown and rebuild. It's amazing how many lives sites with a solid base of users interacting on a regular basis can have. The social aspect allows for a lot more loyalty to build than more passive sites.
Just wish programming those sorts of features was a bit easier...Eathan Mertz

I've got that game on my forum with over 15,000 posts. We've got a few similar threads too with over 20,000 posts. The main benefit is just keeping the folks who post in it happy, and we like to keep our members happy
