quote:
It has come to my attention that you have pirated a copy of an offer for a free coffee that I had on my website over a year ago. This offer was removed from my website on October 11, 2001 and you are now promoting it yourself. I am requesting that you immediately remove the offer from your website and have forwarded along a copy of this request to my lawyer.
I would expect an immediate response to this request and would appreciate some proof that this offer has been withdrawn from your site.
I'm a frigging (is that a swear?) directory of free stuff (older site) and this dude is claiming to be a Internet Marketing Specialist? Now I find out from one of the forum moderators, It was a link on a forum. Good Grief. Coming from an "Internet Marketing Specialist..... Give me a Break.

Good grief is right. For a link! That he took down over a year ago? Ok, if the link was an affiliate link with his tracking ID then he can complain. But otherwise, get a clue dude.
Tell his you need proof of his exclusive rights to link the the coffee site in question. You may also want to suggest that he get the lawyer who he forwarded the info to, to explain copyright issues with him.
