    1 in 10 pages have malware?
    At least one in 10 web pages are booby-trapped with malware, according to Google.

    I think that doesn't provide an accurate picture; I look at lots of sites and haven't seen nearly that many baddies.

    It does seem to be something that absolutely infests certain types of sites, while other genres are pretty much okay.

    For instance, I've found that if I want a game cheat code, I'm going to have to fend off several attempts to stick me with various types of parasiteware and other malware if I don't pick a well-respected gamer site.

    I'm almost to the point of loading up Lynx every time I want to go to one of those sites. I don't want the porn or the malware, I just want to get through a game a little faster...

    If 1 in 10 sites have malware, probably 9 of 10 PCs do. Do remember to install and regularly update anti-malware in addition to anti-virus software on your computers.
