    costs to join affiliate networks?
On another forum, someone is asking the costs to join CJ. I've looked on the CJ site, and searched ABW, where I know there must be posts on the subject, but they didn't come up in my searches.

For that matter, what do the other networks cost for advertisers to join?

    Thanks.

Thanks - do you know what the fees are? Would you also say $2200-2500?

As I've noted in other threads, I wouldn't do business with CJ or LS under any circumstances, but I regularly talk with clients who are considering those companies' technology solutions for affiliate marketing.

My understanding is that CJ's startup fees are in the $2,500 range. LinkShare's startup costs are higher, but historically somewhat more negotiable. You can start up at ShareASale for $350 ($250 setup fee plus $100 initial deposit).

Be very careful to make sure you understand ALL relevant fees and costs, and what services are included or excluded under your contract with Commission Junction or LinkShare. Make sure you understand what "minimum monthly fees" may apply, as well as what fees the network will charge your affiliates to receive certain services (such as datafeeds).

Sounds like they've dropped their setup fees over the last few years. I think it was like $10k + 30% back in '02.

Their prices vary depending on the evel of service you want/need. They have both the "lower" end packagesat $2k-$3k, and they have the higher end ones as well.

In CJ they had a $3k package, but you also need to pre-fund the accont with an additional $3k - that's a total of $6k on day 1.

Personally, I go with SAS where possible.

    dougadam,
Do you mean as an affiliate or as a merchant? The prices I was talking about was to sign up as a merchant.
