I can't figure out why they are calling it Microsoft Affiliate Network. It's not a network. It's an affiliate program which appears to be no different than any other company that is selling a product or service. And the T&Cs called it an affiliate program, not network.

Seems right now they just have that onecare deal and more is supposed to be coming. So nothing really there at this point.

Bad html and non-working scripts on the site, the non-microsoft.com url, the false email address in the invite email.

I'd like to hear from someone from the real Microsoft about this.

You know I thought it was suspect at first too, but I think the non-working scripts and errors confirmed it's legit to me

It appears that Microsoft has registered the domain name as of March 27, 2007

there's a lot of things MS doesn't yet know about aff marketing... in a few months, their top "producers" will be the same old crowd. of course, those guys are smiling this morning over coffee thinking about how easy this one's going to be for them.

old-timers should recall the first time they did it.

it was called "Revenue Avenue" and died around September of 2001.

I just got their email invitation to join. It was sent by Kowabunga. I agree, it's not a network, but the word "Network" in the subject line did grab my attention.

I joined the Microsoft Affiliate Partner Network and was accepted.

They currently only have 1 offer available ... so it's definately in it's infancy stage.

I don't know why I didn't notice this post before. I recently got an email from Microsoft asking me to promote their "network". I asked if they plan to add any new merchants and I was told they will only ever have one merchant, Microsoft. So I just finished sending a response telling them that calling their "program" a "network" is very misleading. If they have any sense they'll remove the word "network" from the title of their program.
