    less CJ's commisions lately ?
I'm getting less CJ's commisions lately... any one else ?
Is this the time of the month when advertisers see the amount of commissions they owe and somehow skip a few ?

Here is a funny one ( I won't tell which advetiser it is from). But man, could the dude offer to compensate ?!? Is this a type of advertiser you migth want to stay away from ?

We fixed the pixel Me_NAME. Thanks for the note!

    Hi,
Just wondering if the reporting system is working correctly, since I've not made a sale in 1 week.
Especially since I've started to invest more in this campaign....I was expecting more then the previous week when a sold about ....

    Thanks for updating me,
    Me_NAME

Sorry I'm still active with that campaign , can't share their name yet.

Concidence ? I also started promoting that product on one of my assets (a totally organic/legit web site for geeks) when sells hit 0 for a week. So I also pulled that too... all in all, if the current results (slightly better then 0) still hold for a week I will remove that advertiser and punish him with my voodoo doll...it will hurt bad

I'm sort of new to this activity, any old timer has some wise "nugget"?

    Cheers,

    Well, a "nugget", at least.

I'd replace the links with one of that merchant's top competitors and see if sales improve. If so, and if everything else is the same, then then you know who is to blame for not converting.

Oh, when looking for that top competitor, don't limit your search to CJ.

p.s.. be sure to save the links you remove - for any of a variety of reasons, you may want to use them again,

I'll be glad to share what I've done when I was able to prove that a link didn't track once you name the advertiser. I think it's selfish of you to want feedback from experienced publishers when you aren't willing to name the culprit.

They had the tracking pixel removed, but you decline to name them? Don't ever ask for any help around here.

Somehow I missed that in the original post or I would not have respopnded as I did.

    Sorry Snowman, davidh, and everyone.

He needs to tell who it is for any help.

It was yo'mamma.com ... just kidding.

More seriously I'm still running this campaign and have seen a few sells since they "restored the infamous pixel". Not the level of sells I was getting before incident but that could be because of the changes I've been making.

I'm assuming this was a genuine error on their part. Is that so unlikely?
    Didn't the guy respond honestly?

In you experience is this usually purposeful?

    Thanks and Cheer Up Friends,
    C

If so, they would have noticed it on their own long before any affiliate would, most likely within hours not days.

For a tracking pixel to be removed in the first place? Just the tracking pixel? Somebody is up to something.

Thanks, didn't think it was that big of a deal. I will email the vendor asking for comp. to see if it is really a money issue.

Snowman no worries, I would release the name if I did not have a campaign running on it. I hope you will understand.

Sorry for generating such a commotion on such a peaceful Saturday,
    C

    1) It'd have to be a darned small program for them not to notice a sudden drop in aff sales...such a tiny merchant is not likely to be using CJ. A one-bar merchant may take a few days to catch it, though. It's hard to spot a trend when A SALE (from anywhere) is a rarity!

    2) Unless they upgraded their shopping cart (causing a fresh reinstall of the trigger page), the chance of the tracking pixel getting deleted accidentally strikes me as slim to none. And even if they did reinstall it, they should have had the fact that tracking would have to be reinstated right at the top of their minds.

If the advertiser is on CJ why the secrecy? It's not like it's a "hidden" secret income producing opportunity. You should name the merchant so that others (I am sure there is more than just you promoting them) can check their stats if they are using them as well.

Otherwise this thread makes absolutely no sense (much like Trust feels about CJ are we getting paid threads).

Yep, I'm can't imagine anybody will be rushing to put up links to this merchant. Now if there is one where you're making money with and have had 0 problems with, my Adwords account is currently open and I'm accepting prospects.

Try Ebay, Trust. THERE I gave away a secret money making opportunity.

I've already got ebay I love them, even moreso with the new terms coming up. With me, I'm using the old, promote something where the only place you can get it online is at ebay, method. So the people have no choice but ebay for what they're looking for. And I make pages for those things.
